My original thread was about viewing the planet Mercury Friday night. I was very stoked about getting to see it considering how VERY difficult it is to see.

 

Was it right next to Uranus? Insert rim-shot here.

 

Sorry, didn't mean for my joke to upset you. In fact, I think it's way cool. I've always wanted to invest in a nice telescope, seeing the rings of Saturn personally is a goal of mine.

 

i read that joke totally wrong. i thought the thermometer for for uranus.

When I saw the only responses were jokes, I overreacted. I actually thought the "mercury thermometer" was clever Jux. I guess I was hoping for more responses from the local community with interests Astronomy...not butt jokes.

 

Oh... and this summer with the new piece I'm going to buy... I will have Uranus.  

 

awesome, I've spent a few good hours looking at Jupiter.

I would love to get a good telescope one day, after I get a house.
