First Official (Low-Res) Look At Tom Hardy As Mad Max In FURY ROAD

Hardy is the new Mel Gibson.

 

But will his voice sound like darth vader with a mouth full of caramels?

 

Along with Charlize Theron in this, I'm looking forward to it

I have not been keeping up with Mad Max -- for some reason, I thought Sam Worthington was going to be the lead in this movie.

 

Or at least another Australian.

 

I don't know why, but I was hoping this was Mighty Max...

 

You'd think, huh? Well whatever, I've nothing against Sam, but Tom is a better actor, so that works.

I'm cautiously optimistic for this movie. I love the Mad Max movies, but I just have a baaaaad feeling they're gonna go soft and "Hollywood" this movie up.

Has the movie been rated yet? If it's R, I'll give it a try and go see it. If it's PG-13? No way.

 

He needs to. Seriously Tom Hardy is awesome and i don't care what anyone says his Bane is badass and brutal.

I'd watch it if only for him.

 

I actually like his Bane, he's my favorite Bane. But his "Bane" voice as Mad Max. Fuck no. That ain't going to fly with Dino, here!

 

He did an accent for Bane. That wasn't his speaking voice.

 

The Road Warrior is still one of my favorite action movies. If this movie can get back to that Western feel of the second one, I think it could be a really good movie.

 

mad max films should have ugly actors and no name actors...

 

Exactly! The story and "feel" should far outweigh whatever the cast is.

 

I like Sam Worthington, but I was actually thinking of Liam Hemsworth (Thor actor's Chris Hemsworth's little brother) doing the role instead. Although I feel Sam is a bit rougher, Liam handles being on camera in Hollywood a bit better.
