Can a mod move the MP Ironhide thread from toy discussion to News?
Because it really is news.
Yes, yes, yes. Keep coming back but wading through this "one size fits all" thread is annoying.. Really only interested in Ironhide discussion/news.
What do you mean "created on the same assembly line?". Everything that is common should come from the same sub-molds and you would want to make them in the same factory so you wouldn't have to ship the molds around. Are you considering "assembly line" the same thing as "factory"? Or the same thing as "mold"?
Who's they? Hasbro?
Right. Back in the day Hasbro had a Hasbro Collectors website where they imported and sold BWII Lio Convoy (and other things which I don't remember).
I remember that.
I also remember they didn't have more than a few things on there, but for the life of me I can't remember what.
Transformers are an odd Chimera with the relationship between Hasbro and TakaraTomy. Takara still considers itself a Japanese company catering to it's Japanese customers, (i.e. Japanese wholesalers, retailers, and general populace). I don't think Takara would just allow Hasbro to directly receive supplies (i.e. cut out the middleman) as that would cut out the Japanese wholesaler. That's part of the reason BBTS and TFSource have such high prices, I don't think they can buy directly from Takara.
Most prolly BBTS & TFsource get theirs from Hasbro Asia, hence their MP products have the collectors coin included.
But that's what Bluefin does for Bandai and Good Smile. Heck, Bandai Japan does this for Bandai American with their imported "megazords" (not sure if that goes through Bluefin too).
I tend to think the higher prices from BBTS and TFSource are being able to turn a profit after shipping and risk of unsold stock is taken into account; heck, masterpiece Prowl turned out to be more here than even importing originally from Japan.
I dunno maybe it'll look cool to them. As a kid I bought non-show characters toys because they looked cool despite not having any attachment to them because of their fiction.
I'm Takara Devastator will stand just fine with shoulders.
It would be a lot easier to answer that question if I had a more detailed knowledge of the fabrication process of a Transformers figure, once the design is approved. Right now, I am more using those words interchangeably. Bu once again, I doubt they would make figure that are so similar in different locations.
so, are there anymore updates from the Tokyo toyshow 2015?!
The latest Figure King shows in gray prototype coloring the new parts TakaraTomy added to Devastator. Pointing out these parts were newly added by them.
So the parts weren't reduced but added.
I must be just getting old. I was/am content with the articulation of my original G1 figs. As long as I can move the arm to point the gun, I really don't care about any of the other articulation.
Where have you seen the scans?
My issue is on the way to me, but this is based on the machine translation of the text at the below link.
???????????????? - ??????No.209
awesome finds, dude! Takara banzai!
Does Unite Warriors Hook have an extending crane?
Nope, too bad. You could always snag a Dr.Wu crane though. (The plastic colors are the same in both Hasbro and Takara, so there'd be no real discrepancy.)
