I have run into some younger members here the last couple of days, and today i thought it appropriate to make a thread about the rights and wrongs on what to do here and how to do it.

If you are an older member, or a long time lurker turned member this does not apply to you.

Anywho, here we GO!

RULE 1: If you don't have something nice to say, or rather did not have a good day and want to take it out on other members, just stay off, or vent in the bad day thread. This could also apply to older members too. Cannot tell you how many times i have done this. Regret it every time.

RULE 2: Punctuation and spelling.

This is optional, but if you want people to understand you or avoid chastizement from fellow 'Spelling Nazis', please look it up on Google. Plus it is a good life skill to be able to learn proper English.

RULE 3: The quote button is your friend!

Works in times of high user traffic on busy threads. Also doesn't hurt to use it on not so busy threads as well, you know, to avoid confusion.

AGREE: Multi-quote and Quick Reply work quite easily, but see a lot of users who post one after another post rather than use Multi-quote... use it!  

RULE 4: Let me google that for you..

While the search function here is borked, there is this little entity called Google. (See one of my previous rules) So if you are unsure on if a thread has been posted before, take some time out of your life (5 sec max) and search it up.

NOTE: SEARCH IN THIS NEW SYSTEM IS AWESOME! Comes up with much better and much quicker AND CORRECT entries than the old system. I KNOW, I USE IT EVERY DAY.  

I know we have rules posted, but some of these care to be brought up again, or are new in general.

Also, if anyone else has a submission for a new rule, i will add to the OP!

 

Here's a rule to older aged members. Stop down talking my generations trends such as music,dances moves,movies etc. it's seriously annoying.
