Honestly despite how cool these are, I’m probably just going to buy the black mamba MPM bee that’s modded to have wheels on its back. It’ll be the cheapest to. (Plus shorter wait). But I really hope these turn out great for you guys!!

Okay but bumblebee has the most screen time so it’s easier to make a better and more accurate toy for him instead of trying ages to make a perfect prime. And I’m sure there are people working on other characters in the film. There is competition apart from toyworld.

Yeah but it’s still inaccurate. The proportions on the body and legs, the sculpt and that ass of a backpack is awful and I can’t forgive it.

Mpm-07 was the first mpm that I was truly completely disappointed with, and as such was an easy hard pass for me. So it's open season for that version for anybody to make a more accurate mpm of as far as I'm concerned.

 

I wish MPM-07's doors folded down. Other than that I rather like it.

 

yeah, as much hate as it gets for not being at all accurate, it looks like a cool figure to me. And to add to that, The only real inaccuracy I saw with it was the doors being up, but apparently, that was too much for some people. really wish he didn't get the amount of hate he does  

 

Well the thing is it has more inaccuracies then just the wings. And it’s people like those and me who notice this and hold it against the figure because it is not representative of the true finalised design. In more ways then one. Cause if it was just that then we’d be more forgiving. Also the MPM’s back pack is the laziest clunk pack I’ve ever seen in recent times. But if you like it, that’s awesome.

 

Anyone else notice that he goes from having 2 rear lights in vehicle mode to 6 (!!!) in robot mode? (Heels, lower legs - though partly hidden - and hips.) That's an...odd design choice. Also the protruding hinges on the roof are a bit unsightly, I hope they find a better way to handle that. This looks better than the MPM, but I think slightly behind Zeta's at this stage.

Not to be "that guy" but I'm pretty sure the ones on his hips are supposed to be the reflectors behind the headlights on the fender in alt mode. Also sorry but I can't seem to see the ones you mention on the lower legs.

 

I was also considering this since they seem to be different shapes and possibly colours. You think you could outline on a picture of the car just to be clear?

Does not look like that robot turns into that car (or any car honestly). If it does and there's no garbage partforming, sign me up since it would be the best engineered TF of all time.

 

Okay right. There might be a problem though. Since whoever designed this, they have the whole fender up on the chest which has the actual lights.

 

Since it appears to be a very early concept render for the transformation, maybe they can sort that out so the light/reflector things don't show on the chest?

 

Perhaps. Might be tight though. I’m sure it could work.

 

My particular beef with the figure is that they knew it was going to be based on early concept art and not completely accurate, but they went ahead with it anyway, essentially stealing an MPM slot from the 2007 movie for something that turned out somewhat half-assed.
