Considering the amount of official/3p G1 MP Optimus's, I wouldn't be surprised if we got more.

Nah, it’s almost completely accurate. The only reason it doesn’t align up symmetrically is because the angle of the CGI is slightly from above while TMT is forward. UT was “accurate enough”. This one is super accurate and also has more detailing down to the tiny details on the smoke stacks and such.

This looks like the best version yet. Challenger was close, but the torso thickness and pauldrons made the overall figure a little displeasing aesthetically. It's probably the character designer in me, but with certain characters the proportion and silhouette are important, although I will keep expectations realistic. With that said, characters like Knight Optimus and Lockdown have very distinctive silhouettes that ideally I'd like to see conveyed as accurately as possible. Details are important, but proportions and stature are just as important.

 

Toyworld’s torso details are entirely based off Comicave figure which isn’t accurate to the movie at all  
Maybe you don’t know the design that well but this figure is completely accurate than TW. Not just by a little, by a lot. Plus TW one has narrow hips, wide chest, big arms, no ass, no butt flap, inaccurate smoke stack, inaccurate back details, inaccurate shin detailing, flat shoulder pads and not so good truck. Plus the blaster had only three barrels as opposed to the quad barrel blaster we see in the film. TW figure looks good but is by no means “super accurate”. UT figure has more accurate details albeit super simplified.

 

plenty of other designs from the movies have gotten zero attention, seeing the same design like 4 times, even if every single one is an improvement, is a hell of a lot less interesting than seeing designs that havent been done
the shit you mentioned seems like things most people wouldnt even notice or care about, and there are still inacurrate things here like those big ass elbow joints and the waist being too big, plus torso seems off with the shoulders. yeah its minor but you get the idea

 

“Nobody” is too far fetched. A lot of people wanted a super accurate figure. Me included so your argument falls flat. Neither UT or TW screamed perfection to me. This figure is the one I have been waiting to see. Not a figure that’s just “accurate enough”. Also there’s a big market for Knight prime ( UT challenger sells out every re-release and repaint release ) so a lot of people are excited for TMT release  

 

Not even almost true. I haven't gotten a knight prime because none of the releases so far are very good. They all fall short in a lot of areas. This one could potentially be just about perfect, so I definitely would miss it if it didn't exist

Besides, it's Optimus Prime. There have been a lot already, and there are going to be a lot more. If you're upset that lots of companies are making the biggest name in the brand, then I don't know what to tell you
