I was just about to mention this! I wonder how it will compare with freedom leader and challenger. So far TMT seem to be doing good design wise with the 3 bees.

So far, this one looks amazing detail wise on his back, but the back of the legs looks really strange, and there’s a lot of exposed hinges breaking up the bot mode.

I'd like them to actually release something rather than tease another project...

But other than that, cool. If he's 3A scale too, they have my attention.

Finally a Knight Prime with double jointed effin knees.

But yeah that rear view of the legs doesn't look too good.

 

Since it seems like the designer it's making them for fun.
I hope the peterbilt it's next.

 

What the hell it looks so good. Especially behind of the knees and the details on the back. Except few of the hinges on the calves and the arms, he does look better than both Orion and Challenger.

edit : now I want to switch my orders from Orion to this but I don’t want to wait another year or two

This sounds like they are trying to shove too much stuff into the design. Which means sacrifices. So far sacrificed is the look with massive hinges all over the bot mode, and my guess would be transformation...

I’m really worried about the designer over complicating this thing with Gimmicks rather than making a good prime.

 

The design is quite ambitious (which I like and praise) let's hope it will turn out well.

 

Some may not like the transformation as the shield will transform into the back part of the truck mode

Same thought. I think we have spoken to this designer before when designing BBB. His philosophy in designing is making things fun and playability. Something like those gimmick in olden days. Different path of design

 

As long as the shield and truck look good I don’t mind. In fact, I would like the idea although I can see why people would not like it.

Yeah I can see the hinges and it does bug me a bit. But I’m still gonna wait for front images or renders to make the final decision. So far the details look good and proportion as well. I wish that those wrist blades were on double hinges so that it would not break the sculpt.

I agree, i feel like that's some of the things i don't like at all about BA's designs (i mean, his figures still look badass, but sacrificing the proportions for gimmicks or stuff seems like a step back to me).
That said, i think they should have used UT's challenger for the basic structure and then improve it, a partsforming shield just screams Takara's calibur to me.
I still want to see the final product doe.

 

Yeah Takara’s Calibur Prime was pure bullshit lol. Inaccurate bot and inaccurate shield. Shield was full of ugly kibble and bot was so weird proportioned and also had too much kibble. If this figure has good bot and good weapons and shield, I don’t mind it.

 

Wow, that is a lot.

 

Glad to cancelled the PO of the dirty Knight Orion... My eyes are set on this now.
