I am still willing to pay for something quality (hell, I buy a fair amount of import deluxes), but we'll see how this plays out when the movie is in theaters. I have been hunting again (a little) for the first time in a while over the last week, and, unless they are slipping restocks in there, haven't seen one of the deluxes move at either Target in town at $20, definitely none at Fred Meyer at $25, and two (one of which I bought) at Walmart at just under $16. I probably looked at Barricade 4 different times at Walmart and just couldn't pull the trigger. Strangely, I have seen the $30 Voyagers moving off the shelves more. Again, it could just be my area, and the fact that we are over a month ahead of the movie release, but I just can't get overly excited this time around, and I (think) I have every onscreen character from the first 4 movies. Except for the Dinos, I think I may have (IMO) the best representation of each character as well. These price points are making me a lot more selective unfortunately.

 

Member when Deluxes were 10 dollars?

 

I've been to six different stores. Three of them don't have a single movie figure on the shelf. My local Walmart did have the deluxes but are now stuck with a bunch of Bumblebees and for three weeks Voyager Optimus & Grimlock have been sitting in the backroom to gather dust. I went to another Walmart that only had one Berserker & Barricade, no voyagers, nothing movie related. Plus a Toys R Us that only had three cases of voyagers out but nothing else.

I guess I shouldn't say poorly but they are definitely slow and reluctant to be putting them out. Which is why I should be expecting and will be waiting for BBTS, TFSource, HTS, etc. to have these guys long before I ever see them hit Ohio.

 

My Walmart is charging $15 dollars for deluxes and $25 bucks for voyagers, which is the same as the TR figures. And I don't have to pay tax, so I'm coming out of this great.

I'm reaaaaal excited for Wave 2 and all the fancy new figures. Tempted by steelbane but I dunno.

 

Meanwhile, I have not seen a single voyager optimus. Do they by chance have a later street date? 

 

No they were street dated for April 24th same as everything else from Wave 1.

 

I picked one up tonight at Walmart. The voyagers seem to be selling fast because he's the first one I've seen in several visits. Even the redeco-Grimlock is scarce.

 

Considering I got prime the Saturday BEFORE the street date...

 

I need Steelbane in me.

For TLK I've been having an only Walmart rule(with the exception of MTC)
I hope I can find these at Walmart first, but I'll definetly pick up Steelbane the first time I see him.

I was curious if it was just me because my usual target sucks (I didn't see AoE wave 2 [slated for July/august 2015] until like, January 2016 and that's not an understatement. same deal w/TR, I've seen voyagers wave 1, 2, and 4 before I've seen wave 3) so I thinking it was a stocking issue. Makes sense that they'd sell out though!

 

With wave 2 on it's way, wave 3 is not to far behind. But we still have not seen who the mystery wave 3 Deluxe is.
