I'm picturing like an Age of Ultron style Hulkbuster suit, like he wears the Aston like a mech.

That would be inventive and a good move on their part.

Mind you, we can't forget that two very famous humans are in this as well, so...

How are you not familiar with it? You're on a website where it posts toy sightings and rumors.

why would it depict Megatron in his first movie form but not Optimus? Not saying the design isn\'t cool but if you\'re going to make a first movie reference, at least you can make both characters seem like they were predicted in time instead of just one.

I think what they are hinting at is Megatron's tf1 body is his knight form in his original body. Optimus in TF1 however wasn't in knight mode and he's always had the same body. So when we have a flashback scene Optimus will probably look like his current appearance, while Megatron like his TF1 body look.

Oh wow I'm loving the new characters.

Love Cogman's Victorian era, steampunk vibe. Though I wished they would have come up with a better name.

Love Hot Rod's quirky face and general look. I'll take this over his very humanoid G1 face any day.

    Love Sqweeks' cuteness.

Love Barricade's four-eyed and squarish head. And those brass knuckles.

Love Megatron's beefy-ness and battle mask.

Still utterly hate Hound the Popeye / Capt Blackbeard clone. Guess I hate any design that has a straight up human face on it.

Yes I hate Crosshairs and Drift too, and am glad they are returning to the more alien designs for this movie.

Crosshairs and Drift don't bother me. You can see the different sections that break up to allow movement. Hound does look more human in the face though, and it seems to be flexible rather than mechanical.

Cogman's name works really well for a posh butler if you take it as being "Cogm'n", same as how you pronounce surnames like "Freeman" or "Coleman" or whatever.

Hound's face is human that way because A) That's how he looks and B) he's voiced by a Hollywood star, so why would he not have quite a big speaking part?

It's quite odd, but I'm a sucker for movie 1 Megatron :p . Would have been awesome if they tweaked Optimus Prime's original body into a more slender version, like Sentinel Prime. That would have been mint.

I'll be perfectly honest, I have been really tired of the whole "alien vs. human" design arguments for a while now. People are going to complain either way, so what's the point?

I myself am perfectly fine with the existence of both. I think alien designs are fine for some characters, but more human-like designs work much better for others. I love the alien looks of Brawl, Shockwave, Soundwave, Ravage, and the Constructicons, but I also love the more human-like looks of Hound, Crosshairs, Drift, Lockdown, and TLK Megatron. The thing is some characters are supposed to be savage (Brawl), stoic (Soundwave), or emotionless (Shockwave), so those are examples of characters for whom alien designs work well. However, for other characters you want to see a more "human" side to them so to speak (not that humans can't be savage or stoic, but you can get the Drift, pun intended), so for those characters I think facial designs that are more human-like work well to see their facial expressions. However, whatever one prefers there's really no reason shape shifting aliens can't have a variety of designs.

Hound's design is great because it shows how he's simultaneously rough around the edges and experienced in battle but also a caring individual inside.

I'll be perfectly honest in saying that I would have preferred a more Crosshairs-like face design for Hot Rod, but I really like how the poster's animation shows off his character nonetheless.

Cogman looks neat! I really like how the cogs move in his body. I am guessing his name comes from the fact that he's a "centuries-old man servant," so I am guessing humans centuries ago thought he was a man made of cogs...Cogman!

Megatron's and Barricade's redesigns look sweet as always.

Another note: I kind of wonder how many Transformers characters are going to get focus or play an important role? Because the marketing has really featured a lot of Transformers in promotional material.

The title reveal videos featured Optimus and Megatron.

The vehicle reveals featured Barricade, Bumblebee, Onslaught, and Drift.

The concept art reveals included Hot Rod, Sqweeks, Crosshairs, Hound, Drift, Barricade, Megatron, and Bumblebee.

Finally, these posters have Cogman, Optimus, Megatron, Sqweeks, Hound, Bumblebee, Barricade, and Hot Rod.

That doesn't even include potentially major Transformers seen in trailers and other media.
