Why I asked if RID Windblade's sword and shealth can peg in on the top of her jet mode as you can sometimes get that figure on the cheap... Guess no one has tried it yet.

Yeah, scorchfire's head is too small for windblade's neck so I switched heads with an extra blurrs haywire, fits much better now, just gotta paint it now.

Is this why when you tip her head forward in the slightest her head pops out? And if so that's not still an issue with Hyperfire's head?

No issues, it's a snug fit. I put other titan masters on windblade and they all were snug, then I put scorchfire on other robots and they all had the same issue with tipping her head forward.

Right, have another Blurr on the way. Hyperfire will help fix Scorchfire and Blurr's body can provide a body for TR Nightbeat.

I found if you rotate the titan master head 180 degrees the head locks in better. Plus the little white face matches her face and just makes it look like she has a white face and neck surrounded by black 'hair'

I mentioned that awhile back , but the head connection still isn't the best as the rest of the wave . Used nautica's head and it sat fine .

So here she is with Takara RID Windblade's sword. Fits well, but the sheath doesn't fit on the legs. The tab on the sheath is too big.
    IMG_8833.JPG

However, Generations Windblade's sword can also be held by TR Windblade, and the sheath fits perfectly.

Some bonus photos, including all the different versions of Windblade. For some reason I really enjoy posing them together, like a Cybertronian Geisha Attack Squad.

It's kind of frustrating how both the Generations version and the TR version have good attributes but both of them stop short of being excellent. The Generations Windblade has a better sculpt, more articulation and a better-looking jet mode (plus way better sword), but it loses out on stability and that face is kind of an eyesore. (Takara version is...a noticeable improvement.) The TR version gets the face right, can stand up better, and the jet mode holds together okay but the proportions in both modes are kind of distorted (especially the shoulders). Not getting the feeling we'll ever see a Windblade that really knocks it out of the park.

My last purchase from TF Nation, and so glad I picked her up. Great for posing, very soulful...

I've gotta disagree there. Granted this is purely my own taste, but the Generations figure is gangly and ugly to me with the super short torso, oversized head and long limbs, and the sculpt is really unappealing. The whole figure feels like a mess visually speaking. The TR figure is more solid-looking despite the kibble on the back, and reminds me more of how the 80's fembots were drawn in the animation. And even then, the back kibble is big, solid pieces. Not a whole lot of little jutting parts. The only thing I don't like are her little stick forearms. Very at odds with, well, everything else about her, and even alone they're cartoonishly undersized compared to the hands. Luckily the arm fin helps distract from it.

I have to largely agree, all the mainline Windvlade's have their faults. The TR version has very thick thighs which don't suit a geisha particularly. However, when posed "in flight" you can get her into far better poses than the original.

For me, the best Windblade is still the Iron Factory version by a country mile.

I like this one too. Feels nice, the wings are really well detailed and thick, tough plastic.
    Great headsculpt..I love it.

Gens sword scabbard fits right on her thigh, and plugs in jet mode and actually fills the gap in the ass a bit. it does have her sword on top of jet mode, but it looks cool.

Here's some pics with the sword in jet mode.

Unfortunately, you'll need gens windblade weapon to make a good figure. 20170820_154311.jpg 20170820_154402.jpg 20170820_154411.jpg 20170820_154432.jpg 20170820_154446.jpg unless your making a Cybertronian giesha attack squad.

The swords she comes with have potential, but the titan gimmick seat just ruins any chance at decent blades, considering the expertly made previous version weapons. I've considered dremeling off the titan seat...

Tough hard to stand, the gens (retail only) is still the best looking windblade. This one does have a seriously bitchen' jet mode..at at 1st thought I though the ass of the jet looked like a mess..now I kinda see it..and with the gens sword, reminds me of a wingcommander fighter.
This figure is fun. It's an easy win. Fembot fanboys may bitch about female proportions. But it looks good, and she does not appear as frail and the rid, and even gens

Wow, that looks great with the sword on top. Adds to the futuristic space jet aesthetic.

I got to see her in person today. Looks good but I passed on her in favour of Misfire and Twin Twist, but if she's still there next time I go to Walmart I'll grab one.

I went ahead and grabbed her today. I like it, even if the transformation is rock simple, the figure still looks great. She has weak knees and a loose head connection but otherwise is really fun. The head sculpt is perfect.
