Hasbro are cheapsaktes, they have no reason to invest money and remold prefect new toys which they haven't sold yet. They're rumors the next gimmic will be indeed Targetmasters, I wonder if it's mean newer versions of characters we already got in TR...
I wouldn't mind Pretenders gimmick if they will be moveble like Machine Robo had (Mecha Matryoshka ), otherwise they will be lame hollow chunk of plastic which Hasbro would love to reproduce.

TR Windblade have horrible proportions, small head, small forearms in contrast to the upper arms, wide manly shoulders, etc. Her thighs aren't actually thick, they're ugly hollow chunk of plastic like 99% of all TF jets lately.

 

She appears to transform like Vector Prime's minicon, Safegaurd.

I was on the fence about buying it, but it looks great.

 

So, the alt-mode looks excellent, and the body looks pretty good (and more importantly stable), but man that head is unfortunate. I get that they had to fit the face and the headdress into the size of a Titanmaster faceplate, but it just gives Windblade a shrunken head. Hope this one gets a retool into Elita One or another fembot who still hasn't gotten a toy yet.

Erm hello? She has design cues from a Japanese Kabuki Geisha and do you know how relations between China and Japan are? How is Windblade an example of Hasbro pandering to us? Cybertron Con in Shanghai is a good example, so is TR Fort Max for USD 55 with free Master Sword on Taobao. But not Windblade. I don't think she panders to Japan as well. The designers just thought its a cool design motif and small nod to TF's Japanese ancestry as Diaclones.

Windblade is a great love letter to all fans, whether they appreciate her or not.

As someone who draw and have some understanding of proportions, she's all over the place. Why panders to China?! She is inspired by Geisha look.

 

She looks so much better than the CGI render! I hope I manage to get her.

 

She is so bulky! Boobatron! Her alt looks great--possibly one of the best out of the ones that are out there. I don\'t care for her weapons so much. Eh.
