I hope places have Ramhorn available without having to buy duplicates of the others... also hope they don't force people to buy weirdwold again just to get the other three..

Whelp, good luck getting Ramhorn everyone.

Also surprised they didn't find a way to fit Topspin into the case with Twintwist.

Huh. Ramhorn looks fun, but I don't *need* him. That might be a "hope to find him in the wild" kind of deal. Or I might just double up on Apeface, et al. Ptero and Apeface are pretty fun . . .

I kind of miss CW case assortments. Ugh to Wolfwire. I want the other three. Leader and voyager assortments look good.

I'll probably just order sets for everything. Much easier.

Remember when Weirdwolf was hard to find? Sure, he never shipped here but it sounds like everybody in the 21st century eventually found him...

So pleased that overlord is shipping in solid cases.
Looks like Ramhorn will be the only one that's a pain to get in fact.

I deleted a whole soliloquy about the ease of ordering whole or half cases from BBTS from my post. I'll find a new use for the spare Wolfwire - maybe try to get ToyHax to do a conversion set to someone else?

I don't understand the repack thing. I mean if they were repainted in almost any color I would buy them, but I not going to buy the exact same thing. Is Hasbro really saving a bunch of money by repacking rather then repainting?

Used to happen all the time. 8 toys in a case, 6 repacks, 1 each of two new ones.

Hasbro's been a lot better in recent years.

It's to give people who missed out on the previous releases or has a hard time finding them another shot at getting them.

Hasbro has been releasing toys in multiple waves for decades. The system is as old as the wave system itself that was started by Beast Wars. The "toys are a one-wave only deal, if your local store misses out on a wave you're screwed" version used to be athing in Europe and Hasbro did it (for the most part) with Combiner Wars, but really, if your local store misses out on a wave, guess what - you're screwed. In order to avoid that (or amend sub-par distribution of a previous wave), Hasbro releases many toys in multiple waves, sometimes in subsequent ones and sometimes having toys skip a wave before they're added to a case again.

In other words: No, Hasbro doesn't expect you to buy the same toy twice. You're not the target audience here. People who couldn't find the figure the first time around are.

At the very least they could've paired him with an existing Titanmaster and painted him like Carnivac.

man, that's brutal ~ at least no more Bumblebees, but why didn't they carry forward Gnaw, Kickback or Brawn anywhere.

And Ramhorn might be brutal to track down.

my understanding was the Wave 2 case with with Weirdwolf and Mindwipe got fairly limited distribution compared to the Wave 2 revision that swapped out the wave 2 'cons for carry-forwards of all of Wave 1 (1 each). Pretty sure i only saw each one at retail 2x each (one when i bought them + one other time)

Apeface I can understand, but why are they repacking Overboard and Ptero? Wave 3 TMs have been shelfwarming everywhere near me for a while (particularly Overboard).
