Titans Return Voyager Optimus Prime and Megatron spotted in Canada - Cybertron.CA - Canadian Transformers News and Discussion So we're currently at: Legends wave 3 - Australia Deluxe wave 3 - Australia and United Kingdom Voyager wave 3 - Canada
Sometimes I wonder why I even bother collecting Hasbro stuff. Its always sold out all the time. Its always impossible to get. Haven't even gotten wave 2 yet.
I still haven't seen 1 Astrotrain or Alpha Trion at Canadian retail. That said It looks really good, the chances of Wave 3 being out just in time for Christmas.
This MEGS is truly awesome , over time I went from , um okay ...to Jesus get here all ready , and now here we are * Rolling out the red carpet * .
...and I'm still waiting on BBTS to get mine in....oh, well, at least they have Hot Rod waiting on me and HE hasn't been seen in stores...oh, wait...never mind...*sigh*... The "joys" of collecting! Lol!
They're out everywhere! And my Megs preorder at BBTS has been changed to December. Oh well, maybe it will be tomorrow....lol
So I just got Megs and Optimus in, and wanted to point out a few things. Apart from usual QC issues like floppy legs and really tight Titanmaster connections, it looks like Hasbro has started using hand-applied stickers. While I sincerely appreciate the effort, the stickers are very misaligned, and of the foil type which crinkle very easily. They're also not really applied properly and the edges stick out from the parts that they're on. As you can see in the photos, the end result, combined with the hollowed parts and cheaper plastic, is a product that looks even more like a "Transformission Robotizer" that you would buy at the dollar store. It strikes me as counterintuitive that printed, cut and applied stickers would somehow be cheaper than comparable paint apps, but i'm not a factory worker so I guess that must be the case? Hasbro also seems to be doing its best to get rid of screws completely, opting instead for these metal bolts. I count only two screws in total on Optimus. I don't really understand the change - perhaps the metal bolts are cheaper? Whatever the case, it will make it a lot harder for customizes and for 3rd parties to issue fixes for figures like this (such as the case with Nonnef's CW Prime leg ratchet fix).
Also, just realized that my Megatron came with two left feet pinned in, meaning i'll have to return it eventually. His arms are pretty heavy with minimal joint support, so they flop down to the sides easily, and cannot hold his fusion cannon out. This makes two Blitzwing molds in a row with terrible shoulders. Hastak, what are you doing??
