I need that Rodimus...and I\'m a bit of a sucker for dragon alt. modes so I\'ll have to pick up Doublecross.
    ...
And one part of me feels that the rodimus mold would\'ve been better for Getaway than chromedome...that\'s just me though

Great wave, Getaway is a bit meh but that's only because Hasbro is doing so much great stuff in this line that a 'mere' rehead seems old fashioned now but they can't all be gold.

Is Hot Rod a Blurr retool?

    He really looks like one

No, he is a brand new mold. Doesn't even transform like Blurr, especially the legs.

Triggerhappy having the cartoon/comic accurate face makes me really happy. :)  Guess here Takara has to do the toy face.
LOL at "Daburu" being Twinferno's headmaster... that's basically the L/R confused japanese pronounciation of "Double" which was Doublecross' name there.

Well, there is the 2008 or so Movie Breakaway, who is a repaint of Cybertron Hot Shot in Getaway colors. I might gonna stick with that, as this one doesn't look like Getaway enough for me.

I'm pretty sure every figure in wave 3 is a solid buy for me. Can't wait to see them popping up in stores.

So... Triggerhappy will be a new mold, but with some Highbrow/Scourge parts, or a 100% new mold?

Unknown, we really haven't seen enough of it to work that out. It does look like it might have the sliding crotch mechanism of Scourge and Highbrow though.

I am wanting Misfire badly (and i see he is on leaked lists) so I'm happy to see a familiar transformation in Triggerhappy's legs. Now bring it Hasbro! Plz.

I think Triggerhappy is an entirely new mold. The legs seem to fold up onto his back, rather than slide in. I could be wrong. I could see it being an easy remold for Slugslinger and/or Misfire.

I'm just trying to figure out if Twinferno is stuck with those infernal inward-bending elbows, or if there's a way to have them bend "properly."

They couldn't do that with Hot Rod before, at least according to Hasbro back in 2007-2008. So something changed where they could do it now. As Nevermore pointed out, it happened in that boxed set too, so I still think the new movie is responsible for getting the name back.

Not the first to retain his name. Fracas, Stylor, Grax, and Vorath, too.

Though since I'm now looking at it, why did they give Getaway's nebulon (Rev) the name "Throttle"? That's the name of Darkwing's Powermaster...

Dammit, my wallet just got done getting the Wave 2's, now Wave 3 is coming out? Seriously, these look great, but what I am really waiting for is Leader Sixshot.

Gah, no in-package photo of Getaway yet.

He's about the only TR figure that I am waiting for.

Triggerhappy might have a new and seemingly interesting transformation, his lower legs end up where his head sits and then there's the vehicle nose cone that comes from somewhere........maybe theres a big hinge on the back that brings the legs upwards after they are spun 180 at the waist, the nosecone could be sat in the torso?? unless its a parts forming part on the back like blurr?

the torso sides appear to slide upwards to move the arms further towards the back of the ship.

Yep, cannot wit for these for and Sixshot. Excellent wave. I picked up most of these characters as boxed G1 in the last year and a half, so it's like a reprise of all those moments for me. Fantastic, and "Dabaru" is almost as tremendous as "Diac".

I will cry rivers if Slugslinger, Misfire, Grotusque and Repugnus don't get deluxes in this line.

    All the best
    Maz

I've seen it thought elsewhere that Hot Rod will become Cyclonus:

Twinferno is the most awesome re-name in the history of anything.
