So I guess he's not being called "Doublecross" anymore. But that's okay because "Twinferno" is amazing.
IIRC, his Blindbag vinyl figure was called Twinferno too. I like the cute little reference to his original name via the Titanmaster's name.
I like the name Twinferno more anyway so I'm not bothered by the name change. Hope this means we'll see a review of him soon.
I'll probably get Doublecross. He looks like a cool mold. Shame we probably won't get the other Monsterbots in the same scale as him. I also wonder if he'll get remolded into Fangry at some point. Hot Rod and Triggerhappy are both 100% wants. Getaway... I guess I'll wait and see.
I was never a Monsterbot fan but this has looked great ever since it was leaked a while back. I'm leaning more and more to picking him up. Ooh, I didn't see the other pics at first. Triggerhappy looks great (other than having a faceplate, but oh well). He'll be the only other figure from this deluxe wave I'll be getting.
I'm getting all but Triggerhappy. Don't care about the name. He becomes Doublecross as soon as he's freed from his plastic prison..
Also I think this is the first time Hasbro has used the name Hot Rod in almost 30 years... I wonder if the movie having a character called Hot Rod has anything to do with it? It's how Hasbro got Bumblebee back... (Movie Bee was going to be called Hot Shot if they couldn't get the name).
OH MY GOSH. Doublecross' headmaster is a phonetic reading of W as if it was a Japanese name. Probably not the case, but I wonder if the guy who named that is a Kamen Rider fan.
It's much more likely a phonetic reading of "Double" (ダブル) as in Doublecross (ダブルクロス). Is there any retooling of the Chromedome mold for Getaway beyond the head? Not to look a gift-horse in the mouth but I'd probably have rather he been a retool of Hot Rod.
