Long story short: I replaced his elbow hinge with a ball joint and got rid of the curling arms Twinferno01 by Nathan Soehardi, on Flickr Twinferno02 by Nathan Soehardi, on Flickr You may need to add some super glue or floor polish for a tighter fit so the toy can hold a titan master gun! Where did you source the ball joints? This seems like the simplest/best way of doing this sort of mod and i would like to emulate what you did here. Good job by the way, simple and effective. What it should have been from the start. EDIT, okay i just should have looked before i posted, i see where you got the ball joints from.
TBH I understand why they went with the hinge, it's solid, won't come apart and probably fits the manufacturing budget. When I completed the mod last night Twinferno couldn't hold a Titan Master weapon.
Awesome! I did this exact same thing (even using the same ball joints I think) last week and just hadn't gotten around to photographing him yet as I wanted to paint up his Titan Master haha I didn't cut all of the hinge off though as I thought it would hinder the movement, might go back and redo it after seeing this. It vastly improves the figure though, but I too see why they didn't do this, but they could have easily put a swivel somewhere on the dragon neck, if not elbow then dragon heads themselves, budget probably wouldn't allow it I imagine.
