I had issues getting Full Tilt's head into the body at first but if you turn the head 90 degrees so it is looking sideways it pops in and out fine and holds steady once it is in. No, I didn't pull mine apart - my hips are moving freely, door is staying shut, and tail is fine so no need to pull him apart to confirm that.
Opened my birthday present from the wifey to find a Trypticon with a batch number of 71561! Guess it paid to wait for a while to get one!
i got a 71851 from amazon sale. one leg was fine. left leg didnt wanna budge. felt completely different from the other. a kid definitely could not rotate it. im being cautious and flexing the spring
71561 from Amazon So far the only problem seems to be a droopy tail. It makes the loud crack sound and then wont hold in place in robot mode. Debating on trying to fix it or getting another one.
I am nervous I have 71801 both reported good and bad. Cant find out till Christmas as its a gift to my son.
Might as well open and and check if it’s bad. If so you have time to replace it. I don’t think kids mind if the box has been opened
I ordered a Trypticon while it was on sale at Amazon recently. When I received it yesterday I discovered that both the arms and legs were installed incorrectly. The left arm was on the right side etc. The leg assemblies were such that I probably could have taken them apart and swapped them out, but the arms had riveted parts. I decided that I didn’t want to risk breaking anything, so I just sent it back for a replacement. I didn’t see this thread before I put it in the mail, so I regret I do not know what the code was. Has this problem been documented before? Here’s a pic: Thank you
71851 that I bought from HTS very recently during their sale. No issues with chest door locking. Locks nicely, imo. Tail locks into extended position for dino mode and posing with tail in air. No problem there that I see. Hips were a bit stiff at first, but seem fine now. Hope I didn't hurt anything internal by moving them around. Only issue I have, and it's a nitpick, is a speck of imperfection in the translucent chest plastic.
I tried a suggestion to tighten the screws for the tail and it holds in place now! But it still makes the loud popping noise. Does glueing it together stop that loud popping noise?
Take it apart, do the glue fix. Add some plastic safe lube. I used the B'Laster stuff pictured in one of threads. Possibly this one. It sprays on wet but is more like a powder film. Easy cleanup. Apply generously. Reassemble. Voila!
Has been reported without issue and also with issues. Like most of them, unfortunately. All the best Maz
