got a 71241 i had on layaway door is fine tail seems fine one hip doesn't seem to have any issues but the other sadly gona have to fix.
My God! I am aware of the current low quality but didn't know it was so low with the new Trypticon. More disappointed than usual with current official products.
Not sure why that's disturbing. They're using the same factory for the exact same figure. And Takara isn't going to order a whole new shipment of springs if QC officers are saying it's not an issue on the factory floor.
The disturbing part is the Takara version is 229US. I would have thought Tomy/Tak would have caught the problems.
Price really doesn't account for QC. It just most likely means TT doesn't expect to move as many as Hasbro does and is pricing the figure to account for that.
got mine today box says 71871, won't know for 46 days, but I have patience , I've waited years for a trypticon to be announced, what is a little bit more time?
Added 71531 to the good list. I should also add that I received my Legends Trypticon. It has none of the reported Hasbro issues so far, not even a warped chest door. All the best Maz
Hi Maz, I got 71851 from Amazon today and it seems to be good all around - will follow-up after I have played with it a bit if that changes.
71461 3 issues none hip joints they so far work smoothly. 1. Tail issue loud poping then the joint goes loose. 2. Chest plate is warped. It's warped enough to see a gap while the other side is closed. Looking at it looks like 3 things combined caused it packing ties and elastic encouraged it to warp to lessen strain. The weight of full-tilt as well as how it was stored. Mine looks to of not been vertical stored since the side towards the front of the package is pulled away causing the warping over time. So the longer it stays that way the worst it gets. 3. Full-Tilt headmaster is another issue wow hard to get in and near impossible to take out I am worried I am going to snap that headmaster head off trying to remove him. There appears to be no give for the clasps of the headmaster to keep him in the neck.
Got 71851 no hip, door or tail issues. I too am having problems with full tilts head, also his left shoulder cannon is way loose due to the purple ratchet cylinder being warped inward. It's a easy fix though.
IT'S NOT BAD SPRINGS FOR TAIL I did find out the exact cause of the tail issue. Now the apply glue trick dose fix it. I did open mine up and found it was a design flaw not the springs, there is nothing wrong with the springs. It's they forgot to place a groove for the gear to slide. My legs work fine so not opened them up to find if that is the same cause. And by the looks of it they never fixed it.
I got Trypticons in amazon sale, wonder if I have to canceled. The answer is to check all the springs since they can break the plastic?
For those that are saying yours is fine, are you actually taking those parts apart to inspect if there’s any discrepancies or gripes?!
