I don't think there's even a solid definition for pretool, then. I always thought it meant a mold being used prior to its primary use as a different character, with varying changes. I was thinking that Misfire would be prioritized over Topspin due to his appearances in MTMTE, as well as him being a Targetmaster. But if we do get a Twin Twist, then I can see the two Jumpstarters together as having been the main focus of the mold. However, we simply don't know that Twintwist is going to appear at all. It's not like we haven't gotten broken or incomplete teams before.
Not to be THAT GUY...but Topspin did get an official retail update as part of Wreckers/Ruination in the Generations Fall of Cybertron toy line, albeit being pretty much just a new noggin' and swapped out colors on FoC Blast-Off. Anyhow, pretty pumped about TR Topspin. He looks like a dandy! And love the larger deluxe sizes.
How is the QC. I'm on the fence about getting this guy, is he worth trying to pick up early or waiting for mass release.
I think this figure is a PERFECT update to the original toy: the stocky proportions in both bot and alt modes are spot-on homages. Looking forward to having this guy in hand.
My first figure in Wave 4 and I think I hit a good high. I honestly can say that he is the best Titans Return figure so far.
He really is a gorgeous figure, a surprise hit that I can't wait to get. Now if only wave 3 would show already....
Why aren't you able to get both? I'm threatening my son that this might be the first mainline figure I buy for MYSELF and not for him.
I keep running into you. You're everywhere. Lol One of the Boardmembers who sells retail Transformers apparently got a solicitation for a Twintwist figure in Wave 5. So it looks like it's definitely happening.
Anyone got this toy and the original Topspin & Twintwist guns? Can TR Topspin hold the original guns? My memory says the shaft of the peg is slightly too small but there's a larger ring round the top which might be the right size.....
Topspin – Robot Mode I finally got a cool toy! Bloody excellent! What a great looking robot! Colour scheme and proportions are a big shout out to the original toy whilst making him look as cool as he did in the comics. The Titan Master head is great – everything about this toy is great, including his two guns (though they could have stood to not be hollow). Topspin – Cybertronian Hovercraft Mode Who knows what vehicle this is – and to be honest if you like bitchin’ alt-modes you just wont care! There are not many Generations characters where you think ‘this is all the original toy should have been’ but Topspin encapsulates this sentiment. They have taken the essence of the original toy and expanded it to be a brilliant looking alien vehicle repleat with guns, cockpit and a bunch of huge thrusters on the back. This is to my mind the definitive Topspin – certainly makes me glad I skipped that awful FOC version of him released a few years ago.
