So he can be transformed without removing the headmaster? That´s awesome.

You mean that one absolutely covered in unnecessary lines and greebly details? Added details just for the sake of adding details is weak.
I had at one low point considered getting the not-Sixshot, but patience once again paid off in spades.
This IS Sixshot, in form, function and name.

Absolutely fantastic review: thorough and witty to boot.

I'm more excited about this figure than my son. He's getting it for Christmas whether he likes it or not.

Thanks for having the submarine mode right side up. So many ppl have been showing it upside down for some reason.

Oh and the rest of the toy is good too I guess

I don't say this often but this is where I'm at. As it stands, as much as I love MMC and 3rd Party, Hexatron looks like dogshit compared to this. Hasbro has completely nailed how I want to have Sixshot...a modernized version of the G1 toy. I don't need all those lines and details on it. Just give me an updated G1 and I'm set.

    Excellent review.

Been aching for a remake of this guy for years.....I still can't believe it finally happen, and translated so faithfully. This guy seem like he will definitely be the crown jewel of Titan Returns.

    *patiently awaits Takara's Greatshot reveal*

Great review. I'm really curious if Quickswitch will just have the new head we saw or if there will be additional retooling.

No way I'll be leaving Sixshot's head out in jet-mode on mine... I think I'll either leave Revolver attached (ie in head-mode), or maybe put him in the tank-mode cockpit, underneath.
You can fly a jet from a cockpit that's upside-down and back-to-front, can't you??? :lolol

It looks like things peg together more solidly in each mode compared to the G1--is this the case?

When his arms are pointing down he can hold his arms outward 45 degrees, but if you employ the same joints with the arms pointing forward then the arms rotate but still point forward, ie he can't shoot wide very well. He does have the equivalent of a mid bicep swivel though.

Yup, if you want you can keep Revolver tucked in the helmet the entire time.

That would make Revolver the best pilot ever. I can imagine him flying backwards and upside down laughing maniacally trolling the Autobots until he farts and flies through his own cloud.

Yup. Everything tabs together properly unlike the G1 toy where a lot of it is held in place by the ratchets. The only mode which doesn't tab everything together is the 'tank' mode, but he has enough wheels that everything is supported.

One thing I forgot to mention, the way he deals with his chest wings is a lot better than the G1 toy. G1 Sixshot just folds the tail wings over each other whereas TR Sixshot slides them into his shoulder assembly at the edges of the chest cavity.

Thanks for the kind words about the review, I had fun writing it!

I think it looks better than Hexatron (that I have). Too many ridges on the the damn thing.

Very entertaining review! I'll stick with Hexatron just because I hate the headmaster gimmick. It it wasn't for that, I'd pick it up.

I'll be getting this when the inevitable takara version comes out. And I have hexatron.

good to have a toy in this line where I can 100% ignore the headmaster gimmick.

Excellent review of an excellent figure. Thank you for the and amusing review.
One question, what is with greebles on the back edges of the wings?
