After reading "Last Stand of the Wreckers" for the 1st time a few weeks ago and being a big fan of TR Sky Shadow, I'm DEFINITELY picking this guy up ASAP.
Somewhere between "slim" and "nil". Regular retail isn't the place to find the figures you want anymore. Online is the way to go. Less stress, less gas, and w/free shipping most places, the price is comparable.
Check news forum over the weekend for pics from the toyfair and Sunday afternoon (UK time) morning (US) for probable official pictures.
My Overlord helmet wouldn't fully close (giving him a perma raised eyebrow kinda look) which made using smaller heads look worse. Anyway it appears it was down to the paint so I filed it down around the hinge a tiny bit (so it doesn't show in the outside) and now it fully closes! It was only a little thing but so annoying.
Has anybody considered the front of the jet attaching to the chest might be for a future Flywheels? That way you could have a reinterpreted version with the jet front on the back and a G1 style update with the jet on the front. I'm sure it wouldn't be a retail release but maybe some kind of exclusive. I don't know if anybody would actually want a leader class Flywheels but who knows, maybe there's a hyper dedicated Flywheels fan out there just waiting for it.
Knowing that Sky Shadow's Titanmaster was modeled after Mega while Overlord's was modeled after Giga... I kinda want to get Sky Shadow now...
With Takara's version seemingly with fake chest parts, and Mega and Giga as 2 different faces, how do you all think it stands up against the Hasbro version?
Personally, it leaves me cold, especially as I suspect that those faux engines are most likely as glued in as Max's legs are shut making him incompatible with the POTP Primemaster gimmick. Also, as neat as the masculine/feminine faces are, I prefer the Hasbro face.
I got excited to see two Titan masters with him but the fake chest got me uninterested. And the figure colors seem a little off to me compared to the hasbro version. I would have rather that Takara version came with a Titan master to be his head and two more Titan masters to go into his chest to be the engines and pilot the vehicles since the actual head headmaster doesn't have to be removed to transform him.

Same, I'm kinda more interested in the Ginrai/Godbomber set since it has Cab and Minerva. but hey, at least I get to save some money.
I have the Takara version on preorder but...I'll most likely end up cancelling it. I'm not completely in love with the colors and designs of the Takara one enough to spend an additional 20-30 smacks on it. I'll probs just stick to Hasbro's.
