    Awesome.

He can roleplay as Pmop's "cab transformed into robot mode" figure.

Good review, disappointing toy...too many stickers. Total and complete PASS.

If they made a Scourge version I would buy it just to give the sword to Striker Noir. A 3rd party sword would be $20 anyway.

Actually, I think this figure/mold is outstanding.

There's nothing about it that can't be fixed. Rip off the foil labels and apply the inevitable Reprolabel set which will no doubt be awesome.

Personally, I'll be waiting until this mold is Octane....but by no means is this a bad toy.

    Well done Hasbro.

Even if the jet mode is a bit weaker, the robot mode with the more traditional shoulders, is very much the TR version of this:

I don't see any redeeming factors with this figure that'd make me want it. Honestly, I just can't get over the awkwardness of the jet mode, the almost NuRiD scale of the truck mode, and the weakness of the bot mode.
I understand and generally accept that clipped wheels and pin joints are more common now, but this figure is abusing these negatives.
I may get it as Octane, just to have a voyager of that character, but I won't make it a priority.

Looks very cool. As much as I like the Deluxe G2 Optimus I'm glad we got a version of him in voyager size and it never hurts to have a non G1 Optimus in Generations every now and then.

Also it would be fun to see a customizer take this mold along with TR Galvatron's TM and make a DOTM styled Megatron out of it. The mold fits perfectly with the design and transformation DOTM Megatron has and that fact that what happens to him at the end of DOTM makes the idea of him being a HM both fitting and ironic.

Can the truck cab bits be folded/repositioned to hide them better in plane mode? Instead of just being two halves.

    Not bad.

Its nice to see an Op with a flying alt mode for a change.

The only way I'd get it is they do a Scourge/Nemesis Prime from Hasbro (bc im a cheapo)

Not really. If you fold them back too much they knock the whole tail assembly out of alignment.

I think my only gripe is Diac. I don't like how he's painted.

It's a nice homage to the old diaclone pilots, but it IS a little sparse.

Great review Peaugh. Thanks for this. Can you tell us how tall Optimus is in his Robot mode? He looks a bit on the small side...Budget and space-wise, I will probably only get one of these. Which one do you think is better?

Improved plane mode. Not perfect, but it sure beats having two untouched truck cab halves on both sides.

Still looks horrible, but at least the cab halves are less of an eye sore.

If Hasbro fails to release a RiD Scourge/Nemesis Prime repaint of this mold at retail (or at least as a major retailer exclusive), they will simply be refusing money. A Toxitron redeco could do, and even just making it the colors of the actual G2 Laser prime might have some potential. This deco is alright, but boring. Maybe if I catch it on sale (say for five bucks less at Walmart or at Ross/Marshalls next year for even cheaper), I'd pick it up.

I think chances are probably higher for Takara to do it (since they are releasing Ruination for UW). And remember Hasbro never bothered with a Generations RID Scourge for Generations despite having even making the alternate Scourge head for Generations Laser Optimus that Funpub used later for some of their line.
