After getting Generations Nightbeat for $10 I decided, like everyone else, to make a body for TR Nightbeat. However after modding the neck I decided that wasn't enough. It needed to more closely resemble Nightbeat. I spent some time searching the Radicons archives for more mods to make for a less kibbled and eventual more g1 representation. Also I didn't really like the colors of the TR head so I ordered the LG version. NONE of these mods are mine so no credit to me. When I get a chance I will go back and list every one that found and used their mod. So far I have done the following... 1. HM neck port 2. Door mod 3. Remove tail mod 4. Rotating windshield mod 5. Hood mod I still have to glue the removed pieces into their new places. Next I will cut parts of the bumper and head lights off and then attach them to the grill. This allows foe the shoulder to rotate down and stick up. Also, and this is were your guys come in, who has the most G1 toy chest piece on shapeways? I have to replace that faux hood chest. Thighs will be painted yellow and I'll add a few details here and there. This is the first time doing mods. I usually just stick to partswapped and repainting. UPDATE Update
I'd say get the Beelzeboss kit for him BLZ-07 Beelzeboss Untraceable Pieces Custom Kit - Third Party Transforming Toys & Accessories Beelzeboss If you want to get the chest off of shapeways I suggest this one. It's the one I was going to use prior to the Beelzeboss kit https://www.shapeways.com/product/2...chest-parts-v1-2?optionId=43504269&li=ostatus Now for the legs I just used Tamiya flat yellow and to match the blue from him I found that testors light blue is the closest imo
Shoulders finished and head arrived. I was prepping his biceps and thighs to be painted and noticed his biceps we're actually cast in yellow so I just stripped the black off. I think I will keep them yellow instead of blue.
In case anyone wants to know I cut off the bumper from the shoulder pieces and then glued them to the bumper/hood piece on his back.
Zombie thread time, but I've recently dug Nightbeat and all his mold-mates out of their displays to upgrade them with their respective headmasters(marvel g1/idw style, my Nightbeat will always have shades) and after performing several more mods on Nightbeat and Minerva (had some done previously, but now they have more distinctive silhouettes from Goshooter and Siren) and carefully scrutinizing the photos you've provided, I have to ask, what is the hood MOD? I mean I know you trim the two bits from the sides, but where the hell did/are they supposed to go? I can't locate them in any pics , nor find the original thread with it.
