I repainted this figure finally. I hate the whole headmaster gimmick as well as turning non-headmaster characters into headmasters. Although I could not really de-headmasterrize this figure, I did give him a new head. It still has to pop off for the alt modes but I like it better than the original.

Still a classic 80s gimmick, and imagine how short the line would be if they ONLY had returning Headmasters.

I still hated it in the 80's as a kid and still hate it now. So? lot of their lines are short.

I never got this version of the mold, because I didn’t like it for Megatron. Your custom is stunning. Great job!

I think the concept is neat. It homages the G2 tank version while also giving him a jet mode. I always wondered as a kid why HE wasn't a jet too. I just hate making it a headmaster.

I didn’t care for Megatron as a jet, but you made me change my mind. I love the way your looks.

Normally I'd agree with you but do you think headmastering more transformers gives customized more fodder and options especially for novices?

Nice, I'd love to see this same treatment on PotP Starscream.

That paint is spot on. Funny that TR Optimus and Megatron are retools of Decepticon triple changers though. As for the headmaster (Titan Master) gimmick, I agree with @Seadragyn that it does give more customization options for fans. I wish they would have made some of the original headmasters in the line (since they made quite a few non-headmasters). Nightbeat should have gotten an actual mold instead of just the head and that weird drill thing. Does your Optimus also have a head swap?
