So I love this Megatron figure. I've only done minor repainting/detailing on the body, the abs were repainted, taking inspiration from MTMTE Megatron. Various red highlights and light grey drybrushing mainly on the head and chest to bring out detail, with a darker grey used to break up the light grey (the shoulders for instance) the face was repainted to a grey to bring out detail. Paints used: Tamiya Red, Flat Red, Neutral Grey, Sky Grey and Rubber Black. The back part of the cannon (titan master seat) was spray painted black (Citadel Chaos black) and a new post glued in underneath to re-position the cannon on his arm as I didn't like the way it looked in the stock configuration. The Titan Masters main body was swapped with my Galvatron's Nucleon to get rid of the red on top of Megs' head (Galvatron's TM body was further switched with an TM Apeface to give him a mostly purple head) With his Co-Captain Rodimus, Rodimus himself has minor paint detailing. Hope you like, any questions just ask
Simple, but effective, nice work! Except for that Autobot symbol, i'm not too fond of the idea of Megs beign an Autobot.
I'm waiting to see what Reprolabels have in store for Megatron, hoping for some awesome chest swirls at the very least! Just took these and edited them up also the gun is from the Beelzeboss Untraceable Pieces upgrade kit for Thrilling 30's Nightbeat, he lent it to Rodimus for now. I've got a new camera that i'm still trying to figure out, as well as my makeshift background/lighting structure. Photography isn't my forte.
I like what you did here. Any chance of a picture of the mod to the fusion cannon? I dislike the grey posts sticking out of the sides and seeing this pulled off makes me very happy! Ps- hope you don't mind this.
Cool photo edit @Neekotron better than I could do haha still trying to dust off my photoshop skills from back in the day of College/Uni. As for the cannon: It's hard to see what I did, but basically, I clipped off the back part of the cannons handle (The TM seat, used to be grey) and the two posts that were used to clip it on top of the front half in tank mode, then there is a rectangle hole where I glued a new post in. Sadly those grey posts were just painted black, but I might go back and cut them off, not sure yet. Bonus and unintentional but the new white post on the back half can be plugged into the front half in tank mode to create a different turret, I didn't like the stock way, one on top of the other and feel this one is better, TM can even sit inside the seat on top instead.
Good stuff, @Lockdown91! Definitely easy enough of a fix for the cannons, so doing that when mine arrives.
Nice work! By the way, how exactly did you glue the extra post onto TR Megatron's arm cannon? Could you post some pics? Thanks!
