any thoughts on this particular idea? i was struck by the idea when doing some panel lining on Megatron last night and was surprised not to find it floating out there already.
This looks very much possible. Some paint, a new face, and some null rays and you've got yourself a TR Starscream.
plenty of times this was thought of in the Tr appreciation thread, but no one has done it yet. they are probably waiting for blitzwing to do so. i say we could use a new chest piece from shapeways to make it look great, and throw in trent's screamer faces to finish it!
Id love it, but Id prefer is to not be a triple changer, otherwise it would look to much like Megatron. You see, since the arms basically have nothing to do with the jet mode, and only the tank mode, SS can be given new arms.
Ooh, I love this concept. I loved triple-changing Cloud Starscream when he was announced (tho didn't buy him bc QC issues) and this mold will be a solid win as bulked up Starscream. So, onto possible ingredients... *Head/face from Cyber Battalion Starscream (despite the simple transformation, the headsculpt is quite sharp and unlike Shapeways' offerings, requires no paint) *Null-rays from Cloud Starscream (they're actually from the MP-3 Starscream - very G1-accurate) You could use Cyber Batallion SS's weapons as the null-rays if you don't like the expenses on Cloud SS, but they're a tad too small and the wrong color(black).
Just get a new Screamer face and replace Megatron's! Here I bet if you ask around the forum someone may end up making some null ráys for the mold!
It could probably use a new chest plate too, to replicate Starscream's turbines. It'd probably be easy to make on Shapeways.
You know, with the purple all ready on that mold its all ready a good start on homaging that Skywarp/Megatron concept...
