I'm intrigued by the Hasbro Diadone (Diaclone) box.

 

This thing is glorious.

 

Its the Dia Battles V2 Moon Base version

 

 

My mind is filled with tantalizing visions of Hasbro making a deal with Takara to sell the Diaclone Reboot toys in the West. The whole concept of piloted mecha got lost when they decided to make the Transformers sentient aliens, and this feels like a play pattern Hasbro is not currently developing (and it could line up beautifully with a M.A.S.K. reboot). Make it happen, Hasbro!

I don't know why Hasbro went with the giant square headband look to Sixshot. I don't know if he's appeared like that in any media. IDW doesn't look like that does it? It just doesn't look like Sixshot to me. I hate it when they don't get the head right.

Maybe it's to accomodate the head gimmick since this is a leader so there will be a flip on helmet?

 

That can't be Sixshot. There are only 3 modes!

Yea, I think it's mostly so that 'Tank' / Anti-Aircraft turret mode can join up with Trypticon as a weapons platform / base mode.

in a line full of pretty impressive figures, this is the one i am most excited about.
I always wanted him as a kid, but waffled on the reissue because i'd become accustomed to articulation by then.

This really feels like they took the original and modernized it, or "actualized" what the original was going for...

look forward to having him and Super Ginrai squaring off.
