I'm not replacing my Generations one... but I'm still getting this guy. Two kups means one on my 1986 movie shelf and one on my Wreckers shelf ^_^

Now all we need is Cyclonus, Arcee and Springer, then we'll have the full movie TR group. I can hopefully just get a CW Magnus modded for Titanmaster usage.

 

I never could find that iGear head which oddly cost more than the deluxe figures do so I'll just grab the TR version if its overall quality is on point.

 

A shame that it\'s a Headmaster, but I\'m sure there will be a third party fix for it to make it an accurate G1 representation.

 

Arcee should potentially be a retool of her own previous figure(per a previous designer interview that suggested as such with much of what we're seeing now). Nautica on the other hand is getting the Blurr/Brainstorm retool.

Titans Return is trying to stay as comic or toon accurate as it can outside of a few areas. Doing a non-accurate Arcee when an accurate mold is available makes no sense. Especially when the other Arcee mold only needs barely 3-4 pieces retooled which is too cost efficient to pass up.

Still keeping my fingers crossed it's a two seater too! Would really be awesome to have an Arcee that both Daniel and Spike can ride in side by side.

 

What's your Wreckers shelf consist of?
I regretably bought those 5 FOC Wreckers (their weapons are the only thing that warrants their purchase) but they're all slowly getting replaced with Voyager Whirl, Voyager RoadBuster and the upcoming TR Topspin so far.
GDO Springer was replaced with Thrilling 30 Voyager Springer and RTS perceptor will likely get replaced with TR version. Trying to think of who else....

 

Honestly, I need to see the altmode before I make a decision.

 

What Headmaster? This is Titans Return, there are no Headmasters. Anyway, I wonder what his Titanmaster will look like.

 

Correction: It's a shame this new toy features a gimmick that has nothing to do with the character and hurts the potential for being the definitive, modern representation.

Sadly though there hasn't been any 3rd party upgrades for TR's. And if anyone needed some it was Galvatron.

 

It will probably look like a green Recoil with Kup's upside down face for a backpack.

I think that's everyone. I have the FOC Wreckers in a box somewhere - super disappointed that Echo's upgrade set for them never came to fruition in an affordable and pre-painted way

 

Perfect effect pc-13 master sword, pc-14 Titan cannon and pc-15 (which includes a non head/Titanmaster head) beg to differ

Is the Titan Master gimmick really that big of a deal?

That gimmick has not effected any of my non-HM TR figures thus far except Galvatron, but that's because of how his particular one was handled. Megatron, for example, is easily my go-to Classics Megs. Blurr and Scourge are also excellent representations of their G1 designs, outclassing anything else in that regard, gimmick or not.

 

You mean like how Kup, Blurr, Hotrod, Cyclonus, and Scourge were all Targetmasters, even though they weren't invented as such? Oh wait no, that's somehow magically different because it's the G1.

 

He's got Blurr's knees and thighs, but so dose Chromedome.
