he already has it and is a bit disappointed its not so poseable , better than nothing but he would be very happy to have a g1 cartoon looking kup with modern articulation

HA called it, Blurr remold! If you take Blurr's Titan gun off and turn him around its easy to see.

 

I'm not bothering with this; the 2011 Generations toy is already pretty much perfect.

I doubt my excellent Classics Kup needs to worry about being replaced

 

I have a Wreckers collection and a Season 3 collection - I'm not replacing my Generations Kup; he's just getting moved permanently to the Wreckers (like Blurr before him) shelf

 

I have the 2011 Kup but I am still going to get this guy. I can only be he will be an easy improvement over a pretty meh mold. (I prefer the mold as Electro more then Kup)
And I can't wait to see the actual images of the figure, hopefully he is just as G1 accurate as Hot Rod, Scourge, & Blurr.

I can also think of plenty of repaints and retools. Hell! You can put him in a two pack with Wheelie and make e-hobby Orion Pax & Dion.
But I also have a feeling they'll retool him into Crosshairs.

 

Good to see confirmation on this. Ever since I was a kid I've always viewed Hot Rod, Kup, and Blurr as a set and it bothers me to have two of them without the third. The new Hot Rod and Blurr are massive improvements over the Classics versions, so I have high hopes for this guy, too.

 

Kup was one of my favorite 86 Movie characters.

Hot Rod and Galvatron would round out my top three.

Nice to see all three updates in the same line.

 

Yeah, classics Kup was pretty spot on and a good figure too. This looks fine. A good alternative if you simply want something different or can't be bothered to get the old Kup for your collection.

 

I guess this will get the inevitable Orion Pax repaint... Only need to use the Power master Prime head, if customized, too.

TBH I'm still happy with the Generations figure and iGear head. I would have considered an update if they took Generations Orion Pax and had repainted that one... Curiously enough.

 

Here's hoping Takara goes all out on this one. Speaking of which, I'm still on the edge of my seat to see what they do with Hot Rod.

I am kind of glad the mold seems to drop some of the Floro Dery style; iconic, but certainly not my favorite.
Rounded arms would have probably meant; rounded arms with panel kibble. Yeah I know, TR Scourge has rounded arms without panel kibble, but he can pull it off because of his shell-former engineering, into an ambiguous altmode shape.

 

I don't like how they made Blurr so cartoon accurate and then failed to make Hot Rod and Kup in the same style so we could have a cartoon accurate movie cast with Arcee...

 

Looking forward to this a lot glad they are going more for the clsssic g1 appearance for kup the generations one bothers me because it\'s just not the kup I\'m used to
