Did some work to make these guys a bit more cartoon accurate.

Green and grey head repaint for Kup, along with fists and forearms. Yellow highlights changed to orange, except for the headlights.
The green for Kup isn't an exact match, but there's so many shades on him, I don't think adding one extra hurts at all (I actually like it).

Grey leg repaint for Hotrod, with light grey fists. Orange highlights on wrists.

Not much different in vehicle mode, just a darker exhaust for Hotrod and arms for Kup.

All-in-all I'm pretty happy with how they turned out :)

I like how you blended the toy color scheme of Kup. Good job!

Thanks guys! I might end up doing a few little touch-ups - like wheel rims and a few extra details - now that I've started. It's amazing what a few little changes can do to bring a figure more to life - It's a shame that Hasbro is having to skip on a lot of paint applications these days.

    Thanks for looking :)

Great work! Especially on Kup. The orange accents really work well.

It's incredible what some square arms and matching color scheme can do.

Hey there - I was surprised to see any more comments after all this time!

As far as the prep work goes, I lightly sanded down the areas to be painted, just to scuff it up a little. After a few light coats, for even coverage, I sealed it with some gloss varnish (I had GW's 'Ard Coat to hand) and let it cure for a day or so.

    Hope that helps!
