    7/13/18:
Hey to all my fellow Radicons. THIS IS AN ONGOING W.I.P. !!!!!! Trypticon has always been my favorite of the Titans. Like a lot of people though I felt he was too short compared to his rival Metroplex. So once I purchased a Trypticon I got to work on making him taller. I found a pic online to show as is Trypticon standing straight and upright is looking at the middle of Metroplex chest.
    16C2D5D8-0A19-4DC4-ADF4-EE51BF39281A.jpeg
I custom built a foot addition using the lower leg section of Unicron, some Lego pieces, pieces from Primus and the front toe section from Trypticon.

You might also notice the large gun section in the back I added. It’s meant for his city mode primarily but they can be used for rear defense in his Dino mode. The LEGO bits on the side will end up being a missle section once I’m finished with him. His stabilizers on the inside of his feet also have laser guns added for his battle station mode. I added pics of the rear guns flipped out and ready for combat.

I also added a few extra bits to the sides of his legs. With the added height I felt his legs needed a little extra bulk and also it adds some extra detail.
    B26B5297-93F8-4BD5-B47E-AFB86FC8BFAD.jpeg
I don’t have a Metroplex or Fort Max to compare him to but I have the new power rangers movie combining megazord. I believe it’s very close to the same height as Metroplex and Fort Max. I also added Unicron POTP Optimus for scale. Hound just wanted a solo pic with Trypticon lol.

    AAFDF36B-3D04-4D7E-ADB1-FC6C644F4D54.jpeg
You may also notice Trypticon is headless ATM. I am in the process of basically giving him a somewhat longer neck. I disassembled the body and removed the tower and neck/head assembly. I then went in and cut out the entire head and ratchet section so it can be mounted on the custom neck section I’m working on that will give him neck rotation. This will retain his ability to look up and down but also allow him to look side to side without having to raise the tower sections and moving the entire assembly. Also I do apologize. Some of my cuts were off from where I measured them so the edges aren’t clean cut lol.

The neck section is a combination of the turret section from universe onslaught, hardhead and some Lego pieces.

    My future plans:
-Finding a way to stabilize the extended flipped out tail section so it’s not just loosely sitting there.
    0B9CCBBE-68C2-4349-A09B-901496A592A2.jpeg

-Finding larger replacements for the back towers. I feel like they need to be bigger( just IMO.) My first idea is to replace them with modded rockets from universe Countdown. Not quite sure just yet though as I still need another one to do this lol.
    5CE9BBA0-0936-4641-97C1-B6456ED140AD.jpeg

-(Possibly) Replacing the arms with larger ones with wrist articulation. I have a pair of Cybertron Metroplex legs in my parts bin that I think may work for this.

Thanks for looking everyone. Please all C &C is welcome!

    -UPDATE-01/20/19-

I apologize for the delay to all my fellow Radicons who are interested in this project. My job just got out of our busy season lol. I scrapped the First version of the neck design I had previously. I felt it was to bulky. The Second version I came up with didn’t really get off the ground though. It involved using Loc-Line 3/4” hose segments. While they would’ve given me some pretty decent side to side movement, I would’ve lost the up and down movement for Trypticons head. This also would’ve required building a whole external neck section to cover up the hose segments. In the end they just didn’t give me the range of mobility I was looking for. So I moved on to Third Version.

    6B7AC76D-D838-4EE2-9CAC-513C6DAAABC7.jpeg
For the Third version I used a leg from universe dropshot. The the lower leg section is essentially the base structure for the neck. The knee joint provides 360 degrees of rotation and a fairly good range of down motion so Trypticon can now look down on helpless Autobot before he stomps out their sparks. Also in the event he needs to look up he can do that also. I’m still working to improve the up motion, it is a bit limited atm. I few LEGO bits were added the the neck frame to help add some bulk. The neck section still has a somewhat slim look to it but I have an idea how to fix that. It’s still very much a W.I.P. atm.

    C9A76BA3-A8F6-469C-86A8-A61C1C5BFE2A.jpeg
The look I’m going for with the neck is based on what I believe is the aligned continuity design. Although tbh I’m really not sure but here are two pics I’ve been using as a reference.

I have also enlarged Trypticons back cannons. They’re not fully completed yet but you can see the size difference. You can see how they look in city mode also.

I’m also still debating on replacing his stock arms with larger ones or just giving him wrist articulation. Those are decisions I’ll make in the future though. Thanks again to everyone for looking. All comments and criticism all welcome.

    -UPDATE: 02/02/19-

I’ve got another update for this project. I’ve done more work on the neck section and I believe that I’ve come to a good stopping point to where I’m happy with how it is. I added a few LEGO bits and pieces to build up the neck structure and give it some good bulk.

    942D68B5-BF45-4604-81C6-99B4E90C633E.jpeg
Cannons where added to his shoulders. This increases his weapons arsenal and gives something extra I felt his shoulders needed. I decided not to replace his arms with bigger ones atm. The cannons are the null ray blasters from a junker skywarp figure.
    BDFC6172-0D67-4DE6-BDBC-C7309A301F7A.jpeg
You can see his height now is taller than that of the movie power rangers megazord. To the top of his head he’s about 25” tall and 26” to the top of his horn.
    2FEA1FD8-B626-4848-BD48-C6F1D8A312C1.jpeg
53D62C46-CEEB-43F2-B57F-5C020449D60F.jpeg So for the most part I believe the actual building process is complete. The only two ideas I have left are 1) to possibly add some more and sharper teeth to his mouth ( IDK how I would do that atm LOL,) 2) I’m searching for a replacement for full tilt. I’d prefer him more mini-con size than a deluxe. You can see in the pic below want I’m thinking of for his teeth and full tilt.
DF395CD3-0FD3-473E-B4D2-F4B8AB9B9E35.jpeg I’m really happy with how he looks. Before I begin to prep him for painting I’d like to add a few more details such as some small guns/turrets and satellites/radar dishs. Maybe something small like these LEGO ones. If anyone has any good ideas please feel free to share.

Do you think I should change anything else? Any other questions you might have? Again thanks for looking for looking and all C&C welcome!

Go all out with Coundown, and you can have a proper "Brunt Tank" to really complete the team!

Thanks for looking and the encouragement I really appreciate it. Tbh I haven’t really formulated a plan for brunt. Once I finish up Trypticon I’ll look into brunt.

    UPDATE 7/14/18:
The head has been attached back to the body. Trypticon now has side to side neck articulation and also retains the up and down head motion also. He now is taller than the power rangers megazord. About 23 1/2” at the top of his head and 24 1/4 at the top of his horn.

Nice work, I too use Lego for my custom work. Do you plan on adding a premium paint job/covering some exposed studs?

Thanks for the compliment, I really appreciate it. I’m still in the building process, so a lot of the holes, gaps and exposed parts will be covered up with putty and such. Once the build is complete though yes he will be receiving a nice full paint job in Black.

Nice, kudos by the way for customizing a city-bot most are unwilling due to the size and what-not. I'm thinking on buying another Fort Max to turn into Vigilem but I've yet to work up the nerve.

Thanks I appreciate it. Yeah it does seem the size of titan case figures does intimidate some ppl. This is for my personal collection so I’m just going with the look that I feel he needs. As for your Vigilem custom idea, I’d love to see it and I hope you give it a try!

Yeah the neck section is DEFINITELY still a W.I.P. Lol.

Thanks, with your Trypticon's arms are you gonna keep the stumpy T-Rex arms or do something different like Aligned Trypticon?

I’m not quite sure just yet about the arms. I do think they look a little too small but if I do decide to change them I have a plan in place. They will prob be more like the aligned version of trypticon if I change them though.

    UPDATE 7/20/18:
I did some work on streaming down the back of his neck section. As you can see from the circled section in the pic. It looks like his neck is hunched forward which I didn’t like. I went in and trimmed down the back of the neck section. I think it works for now but I’m going to build up the surrounding neck area more to help hide some of rear neck section.

As for the tail, I attached a lego hinge section which folds down and plugs into another LEGO technic piece. This allows the flipped out tail section to be held in place and be stable. You can see the pic of the tail section being held up in the air and Hound taking a nap underneath it lol.

Very nice, do you plan to do anything with the hollow parts of Trypticon's body? The torso/tail specifically? I utilized the opening chest on Fort Max to store vehicles and some an old legion-class figure.

Hmmm, I did look at the hollow body section where the headmasters (Titanmasters) end up after he eats them. I didn’t really come up with an idea just yet but it is something I looked at. As for the hollow tail section, I was possibly thinking of storing a Brunt tank in there. That’s just an idea for the future though lol.

I ask because when I've caught up on my current projects I plan on converting the "stomach" of Trypticon into a command centre for the unused Titan masters. It would involve a few Shapeways Titan master peg stands and utilizing LEGO plates with smooth tiles over them to add levels to the command centre.
