The CBM "article" finally updated: Oracle Will Be A Member Of TNT's TEEN TITANS Series Exclusive: Which DC Characters Will Be on TNT?s THE TITANS? « Nerdist
Interesting. We've already seen Oracle in BIRDS OF PREY, nothing too new there. (It's weird, is Batgirl ever going to kick butt or is she better as Oracle?) I would have liked the Hall Bros for Hawk and Dove though.
Oracle makes more sense than Batgirl. Sounds like we will have flash back episodes later on with what happened to Barbra and Batman and Robin's falling out. That may mean Tim or Jason will show up later to add to the drama.
Sounds like a good starting team to me. It's interesting that most of the team is made-up of female characters. Not a bad thing, just not something I was expecting.
Including Starfire just makes me worry. I really hope they don't handle her as badly as the comics-verse.
As someone who doesn't read that and just saw her depiction in the CN Teen Titans Cartoon, how bad is it? Also concur that it's strange, but likeable how most of the cast are females. Go TNT, Eye Candy! but really, good change of pace. I sort of figured they wouldnt' do Cyborg since as of late he's been depicted as part of the Justice League. The plot storyline is...a different take on things too.
You mean about her New 52 outfit? Yeah, while pretty people are a norm for superheroes I hope she is dressed fairly conservatively. That makes sense, to tie it in to the Bat-Family's history and how Nightwing came to the Titans. Hmmm, thinking of more future members, I'd like to see: - Someone from Superman's family (more likely Superboy, Kara has her own show) - Donna Troy - Miss Martian - Mas y Menos - Aqualad (either Garth or Jackson Hyde) - Zachary Zatara Hopefully the show shapes up to be as good as its animated counterparts.
In the recent comics she's spent most of her time sleeping with men at random to alleviate her boredom even though she can't tell humans apart. And I think she's a heroin addict; not entirely sure of that last one though.
The old 52 Starfire's personality was pretty close to the cartoon, but her species had no issues with nudity, and was somewhat solar powered, so she wore what can best be described as a space swimsuit. The New 52 version Well this best explains it.........
I don't really mind her wearing a costume like that, it's one of the few cases where IT MAKES SENSE, and she is more open about her intimacy, BUT she needs to also be caring and loving and all that stuff mentioned in that comic strip.
I haven't even kept tabs on what Starfire is like in the comics since her New 52 debut in Red Hood. Is she still a sex doll, vapidly banging anything with a penis? Or did the public backlash convince them to dial back on the sex-capades?
Sexy Starfire upsets you? I guess I miss the prude dressed Starfire version. I think that image with the adult woman buying the random comic has never happened in the history of the world.
Interesting character roster. I like that its mostly females on the roster though why Hawk and Dove? I know people hate his opinions but he was spot on with this one.
With Nightwing, Hawk, Dove and Raven on the team, Teen Titans should just be called Birds of Prey, not only does 75 percent of them are affiliated with birds, but the same percent is that female. I say it works more. Though I love this new interesting beginning of the Teen Titans. Beast Boy will probably join later after they get more money for his shapeshifting, Cyborg too.
Teen Titans TV Show Should Be Game Changer Basically because it's got women. Which I'm not buying. (it's got to have more than that to be a seriously good show, I mean)
So do all the other DC shows, and they're usually the worst written characters with a few exceptions. Arrow has Felicity, and it had Sarah. Flash has Caitlin Snow. I'm not even going to talk about Gotham though (that's partially because I couldn't get through the first five episodes). Now that I think of it, Agents of SHIELD has the best female characters in a comic book TV show excluding Agent Carter where most of the main characters are female.
