A live-action Teen Titans could be really cool. Hopefully they get some decent actors for it and the pilot goes well. I'm interested to see how they handle some of the characters in live-action. Especially Starfire, Raven, and Beast Boy. Not just visually, but their powers as well. I wonder how, or if at all, they'll handle Slade. I've loved Manu in the role for Arrow, but I wouldn't mind seeing a take on Slade for this. I don't know if he'd be interested in doing a show, but it'd be cool to see Ron Pearlman in this. He was great as Slade's voice, but I think he'd be a great fit for a live-action Slade too. If not this, maybe a movie ome day.
In before the "Unless it was just like cartoon it's not going to be good" comments. That being said, I'm weary of anything that has actual super-powered characters being on the small screen. I'd like to see a second go at Bird of Prey, but adding Nightwing and Batgirl as the main characters, with an occasional Batman cameo.
Honestly, as a live action series, this may not see the light of day, jusy way too much SE needed for all the characters and stories. While TNT has been AMAZING with a majority of their shows, I don't see how well this one is going to be.
This could be really good, or it could be a complete train wreck. I'm just hoping that the writing is at least as good as Young Justice.
This could be good. I loved Teen Titans on CartoonNetwork (Not Teen Titans Go. But it's a decent show.)
As long as it's based on the Perez/ Wolfman version or the Geoff Johns run and not on the new 52 version, I'll be fine with it. Especially avoid the new 52 costumes If it's in the same universe as Flash and Arrow, Roy and the possibly Wally could become members. That also may mean we see these characters showing up this season or early next season on Arrow and Flash. I know the Arrow team has wanted to use Nightwing for awhile.
While it would be cool to see the Arrow-verse grow even more, I honestly doubt this will be connected to it. Not in any official capacity anyways. How many cross-station crossovers/spin-offs have there ever been?
Well there haven't been this many shows from the same company on the air before. Lois and Clark had no other shows to crossover with Birds of Prey was in a different time line from Smallville. It was cancelled after 1 season Smallville had plenty of guest heroes, but none of them had spinoff shows. We will now have The Flash, Arrow and possibly Supergirl and the Titans all on the air at the same time. This creates new opportunities the WB hasn't had before. I'm leaving Gotham out as Nightwing shouldn't happen before Batman becomes Batman. But that's five WB comic related shows on the air at the same time.
I was speaking more in-general than DC shows specifically. There are already five DC shows, so if Supergirl and Teen Titans make the cut, we could be looking at a total of seven DC shows running at the same time (you're forgetting Constantine and iZombie). While all of them are DC shows, not all of them are under the same roof production-wise.
except I think tNT has nothing to do with the CW, making this a stand-alone show. The network has good written shows, like I said, the execution is the only glaring issue here. TNT is known for shows like RIzzoli & Isles, leverage, monday morning, fRanklin & Bash, etc. nothing specifically requiring much makeup & superhero special effects
Not forgetting them, but unless Zatanna, The Spectre, or Dr. Fate start crossing over, I don't see Constantine showing up on Arrow, or iZombie crossing over even though it's even on the same Network as Arrow and Flash. Supergirl stands a chance as I think the guys behind Flash and Arrow are the ones trying to get it going. Not sure about Titans. But you never know. 10 years ago I wouldn't have predicted this many Superhero shows and movies, or most of them doing pretty well. Nor Marvel being the Number 1 Superhero movie company. 10 years ago I wouldn't have understood how addicted I'd be to my smartphone. Heck back in 2001-2 someone on this very board said we'd never see a Unicron figure. Anything is possible. Only when you think it impossible do you limit yourself.
