I had the same problem with Necro being hyper tight when connecting him to Full-Tilt's body. I fixed this, but using a hobby knife and just slightly, and I mean slightly shaving down the side connectors in Full Tilt's neck.

This made the connection smooth and easy.

I did the ToyDojo trick as well just in case, but I wanted to note that this solution alone would likely not have been enough on my copy, as the ratchet which is supposed to slide up and down the cross-bar did not have wide enough slots to do so. It was firmly stuck. Once I sanded the insides of the cross bar so it could slide as well as the other, unmodified ratchet could, it was okay. I did not cut the spring.

I just fixed the warped door with a 2 pieces of masking tape on each side, closes snug now. I also moved my legs to a more upright position--one hip was tight, the other not as much.

Something to consider with that question. He will not fit in a detolf styled case. If a normal shelf where it won't be enclosed, you have a shot. Toes to tail upright I'd say 14"-16"

I wonder if there could be a sticky to the "toy dojo" fixes and others.

Got mine delivered from Toys R Us today. Both legs are super tight, to the point I am afraid to turn them, tail won't move, and the green door is warped, sigh..........

I don't know if this helps you, but here is my Trypticon on a 20" deep shelf.

It was a feature of the G1 version. It was like automatic for me to try.

I like the way he scales with Utopia even more than Titan Metroplex

Man, didn't think this guy was coming out until like November. I really shouldn't spend the money on it now but I know the longer I wait the more expensive it will get.

    Damnit.

If it's anything like Fort Max was, there should be a couple times closer to the holidays where it should go on sale for really good prices, like under $100.

As i suspected. They are a perfect match. If i ever get the chance to buy a Utopia around here i might sell of both my G1 Metroplex and Platinum Trypticon.

They're a good match, and while Utopia it's not as imposing as his rival, his twin freaking cannons give him the upper hand in firepower. As a Utopia owner, thanks for the picture.

    Haha, you bet!
I do like the Hasbro Metroplex well enough, but there's something about the proportions on Maketoys Utopia (and his overall design that I love) that make him so cool abd powerful looking.

Yet next to the new TR Tryp, he almost looks like an underdog in that fight!!!
Like you said, good thing he has some big firepower to counter that mammoth monster of a decepticon! :D

Here's a couple more from slightly different angles, just for fun.
I took these about a week ago to send to my brother (he had Tryp when we were kids.)

I should take some more of these two duking it out. :)
