Got a pic of that Skullcruncher/Fangry combination?
Okay, so I know the pics aren't great - but it's the best I can do at the moment. I hope they show enough to be helpful.
What worked for me was getting the hips/tail aligned at an angle, like this:
You should be able to clip the tabs by the bottom of the 'spine' into the central slots on the grey hip assembly parts:
Once in, they should like this from the top:
I hope this helps!
Wave 3 Deluxes have not hit yet so honestly you're better off just ordering the entire wave of TM's online and writing off the shipping expenses with the money you save from not having to waste gas in a wild goose chase. I only managed to get them because I work the morning shift at Target and I bought them on break - Overboard was also well stocked at my Target but I skipped him over for Brawn as I already own Crashbash and I always will go for more unique moldings over completion (plus the fact this TM Brawn's existence pissed off an entire subsection of impatient people online gives him importance of a meta level and I'm a sucker for that kind of thing). I should also mention that at my Target, they only restocked in full with Wave 3 TMs because for the week prior, there were ONLY THREE of them - specifically my Apeface and Skytread along with the Brawn (still pissed I didn't grab Clobber since otherwise I would have had the complete wave and as I'm only two short of all single TMs at this point, might as well collect all the little bastards as I've realized they are the 'accessory' kits I've wanted for YEARS).
And like I mentioned earlier, Sawback looks cool but functionally is a bit of a disapointment as his head's lion styling means he doesn't "lock in" whatsoever because of the tapered muzzle. He's the worst TM at being a headmaster as a result, since he doesn't even lock into Astrotrain's neck joint which is the tightest of the TM bodies that I own. He's best as the shield or as a standalone lion rider. Just wanted to give you the heads up on what to expect.
Thanks, I though they would be the case but couldn't see any obvious "male end emale end" linkage. Much better now.
Fangry really does work well as a Skullcruncher head. Just need to paint the visor red and the face gold.
The little cat makes that picture!
I think it's because most of Skullcruncher's body actually matches Fangry's original body color wise - just more green and a different alt. mode (though given the gun accessory for Fangry is pretty much a dead-on miniaturized version of the original alt. mode to the point his legs form the belly in a sense he still has that, too).
And to be perfectly honest I am reasonably sure we'll be getting a full Fangry toy as a Mindwipe retool - all you gotta do is really just replace the robot mode wings (completely vestigal and useless in the actual bat mode) with some monsterous wolf forearms and adjust where they mount so they're higher up in beast form.
And as a side note, I know lots of people are not fond of the idea we're getting TM versions of characters and ultimately we'll be getting full bodied versions later, most likely with the same heads given the moldings exist, but frankly just pair up the small versions of a character with the large version and it's the best of both worlds.
My god, you could easily adjust three of those TMs and have them do the YMCA dance.
Absolutely loving the wave 3 Titan Masters. Perfect set.
Can't believe I almost passed on these figures.
Something about the fact that they are bodiless heads keeps me from buying these. Bought loudmouth and I regret it
I can see that being a turn off, for me they are more action figures than the HM's. I have them riding all the larger toys and filling up the extra seats and gun turrets. Probably why I keep buying extra Titan Masters.
Ordered Bumblebee and Hot Rod from BBTS.
Just waiting on a pre-order for Perceptor.
After that all I want is G1 updates of the Dinobots.
They are the last G1 figures I had as a kid.
I already own Titans and Legends Galvatron, soon I'll receive both Voyager Optimus and Megatron.
I've noticed that both have that spring mechanism that once activated, encloses the head.
I'm so sorry for the question:in your opinion if the head is not placed in 100% central position and for mistake the spring is activated do you think that if hits sides of head could create some damage there ,or also to head and neck of little bot?Anyway,I highly doubt, also for safety laws, that is powerful enough to launch it a little...
Very important,I don't absolutely ask you to try these things,I just want to know if in your opinion I must be very cautious when I handle them with with mechanism down
They need to make these Titan masters without faces on their backs and sell them by the pound and I'm all over it. Sell 5 packs
I'm telling you, my money is on a Weirdwolf repaint as Fangry, with a wing set that plugs into his back.
Whoever gets retooled, we still win.
I guess, I just don't see that much can change with Mindwipe to not have two damn near identical looking toys. Not only that, but the original Fangry's beast mode emphasized the wolf part more than the bat part. Like I said in another thread, it was basically a wolf with Dr. Strange's collar.
Okay now I have to get Overkill, I always liked those colors.
