Titans Return will never go away apparently. We already have Takara Mindwipe. Don't think we'll dip again for a brand new deco.

 

It's right there in the name Titans Return.

It's what they do, they return.

If the name were "Titans Go Home" we might've heard the last of the Titans.

The only one of those new Titans Return re-releases I'm interested in is is the Brainstorm one. I passed on the original release of it, as I was content with my voyager Generations Brainstorm... but I've recently been pining for a Titans Return version, so he matches up better with the rest of my headmasters.

Seems like someone was reading my mind on that one.

So, how about re-releasing that last wave of deluxes again so people can actually GET them, huh?

 

Straight rerelease of Twin Twist please, but I would be okay with a tweaked Windblade (with the usual katana) and Misfire (G1 toy face).

The prices that these are going for should be a huge sign for Hasbro to redo these.

The ironic thing is that the 4 that they are redoing are the #1s KOs out there... so they are probably taking that in account maybe? either to get people to not get the 100% same thing KOs, or someone is hoping that anyone looking for these has not done any checking and putting them in a fancy box will get those people? And these 4 were not really that hard to get either... still not... I know I can find a few from a local chap in my area that sells a lot of TFs and I did one of these very ones just a few weeks ago and he has the others still on card for about 20-30$CAD

I did get burned a bit with an overpriced Twin Twist (around 50$CAD when in stores I missed it for 15$) last year, but refuse to do it for Windblade.

 

My collection still needs a lot of headmasters. I only have Brainstorm, Chromedome and Triggerhappy. So of Hasbro is planning to re-release them all, I'll take them all.

 

LG25 Blurr's pretty much perfect apart from his non-amused expression. I doubt I'll be picking up his SS86 version, but I am intrigued by that toy's streamlining of the TR design's conversion.


These three will definitely remain as display-Arcee gets replaced by ER and display-Hot Rod with SS86, though I will admit that I am interested in the new Kup for... Reasons.

Seeing comments about finishing Headmaster collections, if you aren't excited about preordering at Walmart and getting cancelled on four times I'm looking to sell these guys plus various other TR figures.

Looking similar to my recent re-setup. If I had just a little more room on that shelf I’d fit in the combiners and the rest like you did as well.

 

Well the reissue of the Titans return figures we seen are coming back out again but with really awesome g1 inspire near perfect boxes. Why can't we just get the actual G1 figure and not the Titans return figure. I mean come on that hurt seeing the G1 box but Titans return figure going to be in it. I'll say yeah the titans figure is great and i have them but that G1 box was kinda I'm shaking my head here. So I'm say NO,.... I want actual G1 figure in the box.

 

Really hoping that they fix the Weirdwolf and Highbrow issues with the new releases...

 

Geez. I need to add that to the long list of mods my Sixshot needs.

 

Speaking of the reissues, what were they thinking with Brainstorm? What deco is that supposed to be? I love the head but the rest of the body should have been more close to the Takara version. I’ll probably still get that one but it would have been nice for him to look like the show.

I also really wanted Chromedome’s upper legs to be brown but for some blasphemy-esque reason I kind of don’t mind the tan. It could be the lower legs still keeping the brown that makes it done what ok.

They still need to make a new Chromedome figure that looks like the character but this will have to do, I’m very excited for these releases.

 

Man, it hasn't been that long but I already miss Titans Return and just wish we had gotten more of it. Yeah, I mean in a way we are but those aren't new mold and characters.

 

The thing about these re-issues, is that those were the most common ones that I remember on the shelves. Most being the shelfwarmers. Considering that if they had done any sort of check with the fans and such, the hard to get would have been in top of the list (Windblade, Twin Twist, Misfire, Brainstorm, etc.)... not these ones.

I could imagine and not be surprised that they ended up with an overstock, had them in storage, trying to figure out what to do and not waste them, decided "hey, what about a paint job and a fancy box!?".

Just speculating, but this sort of thing wouldn't surprise me

 

Normally I would quietly scoff at re-releases like this, however when these came out, I was in one of my down times on Transformers, where I only bought a very choice few. A lot of the 87/Rebirth bots I combed over and left, so I'm definitely someone who will grab these the second I see them.
