Customized my TR Scourge just a tiny bit, enjoy.
Glad to have a Legends Seaspray to help complete the minibot set.
Also got Nightbeat. He doesn't quite go as well with Deluxe Nightbeat as I hoped. However, Titanmaster Nightbeat might end up on a combiner's arm.
I'm expecting to get most of PotP wave 1 either towards the end of this week or the start of next week, so it seems like a good time to look back at Titans Return and the original '87 Headmasters.
Brainy! With yer big G1 nappy self and your amazing Thrilling 30 Voyager version. Odds were a bit stacked against the TR version, but he is kind of wonderful!

Giving Sixshot swords bugs me to no end, but the articulated hands look pretty good.
Unfortunately, the hands hang below the track slightly in alt modes and kind if takes away from the cool factor. Also, if those are the ones for Soundblaster, they can't hold his guns.
Over the weekend I started to put some of the Titans Return figures away to make room on my shelf for the Power of the Primes stuff (I'm limited on what I can currently display in my apartment). It was a hard to find ones that I felt I could put into the storage bin. I really, really enjoyed this line. There are still a few figures I would like to get (Ramhorn and Grotesque) but overall, I am happy. I am happy that we got full teams of characters like the Autobot Headmasters, the 3 original Decpeticon Target Masters, the clones, and so on.
He looks more like Nightbeat if you fold the door wings in and ditch the ridiculous guns he came with.
I was just messing around with Wingspan and saw he has a 3mm peg hole on the top of the tail in bird mode. It isn't the typical hexagonal hole that is now common for flight stands, and is in a bad location for such a thing.
Anyone know what it's for?
if it's the same hole I'm seeing on photos, it's for a figure stand in robot mode.
pounce, with his tail folded up, has a figure stand hole in the same place.
You are my hero.
Pitt you couldn't fit Trypticon on there.
Ah, okay. It's just in a weird location.
Hoping to get some feedback on this one.
I picked up a second Trypticon from one of the later batches I think I want to sell my first one that came from an early batch from BBTS.
It's honestly a perfectly serviceable and beautiful figure.... It transforms and displays beautifully, it has un-applied stickers, "fixed" hips that work fine (clipped springs)...but it has some of the other quirks like the chest piece that is slightly warped and doesn't always close the first time.
So...how much of that needs to be specified when selling it? What would you ask for an early batch Trypticon?
Any advice is welcome.
I'm certainly not looking to fool a fellow collector but I also don't want to overstate the pretty minor blemishes.
I'm seeing some potential for ol' Squidhead here.
Flying tank mode!
Loving the articulated hands
I just did some measuring, and it seems pmop's in-universe height has increased drastically from his old size.
assuming his doors are actually human sized, and not rat sized.
an old height chart showed the original pmop to be about 10 meters tall head to toe, but TR pmop seems to be about 44 meters tall(about 144ft for the Americans here)
Finally someone who agrees that Sixshot shouldn't be carrying swords.
Now the question is, did he ever used one in any form of media like shows or comics?
