Thanks to @Snallygasters15 via twitter. Here's a different transformation setup for Combiner Wars Long Haul. Better looking.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I would appreciate if anyone can answer a few questions I have.
1.) what is the difference between the Hasbro version and Takara? I know Takara comes with things such as elbow joints and individual guns, but if I planned on buying the PE upgrade kits, will the hasbro version be the same or better?
2.) if I do go for Takara version, will I need any upgrade kits from other companies to make it look better?
3.) how do the individual boys scale with the Masterpiece line?
    I really appreciate your answers

I went back in and saw a few of my questions answered. Just really torn between Hasbro, Takara, and Gravity Builder. I just have a bad feelings that the Hasbro/Takara version will feel like crap in hand whereas Gravity builder will feel amazing. Even though it's more than double the price, this is something I plan on keeping forever so I don't mind going higher on price, but at the same time they all look good. Don't want to spend any extra money for no reason you know.

    @GUIGUI-
nd the shovel of Scavenger. Those are the only two upgrades I'd want. I'm a sucker for working machinery.
If the upgrade kit was pick-and-choose rather than getting the (to me) unnecessary Mixmaster cab and *shudder* Prowlestator parts, I'd go for it.

I have the Hasbro Devastator and he is amazing in hand. Honestly, even better than Metroplex.

So I got the sdcc devastator. I like the box a lot. It is awesome to display on it's own. Having devastator in a hanger and fully combined in package is sweet. I go back and forth on the purple. Once I see the takara version, I may sell the sdcc one and go with the cheaper hasbro or suck it up and go takara if it floors me more than the hasbros do with their blander greens.

I am adding detail to my Devy. Is anyone else doing this, or have recommendations?

I want to paint the tracks on the left arm as well as the area inside both tracks. What color should I use silver or black?

Also going to paint the wheels on each figure.

I am taking it very slow. Here's what I have so far:

I like the retail version of Devastator. The elbow thing doesn't bother me too much.I went ahead and pre ordered the PE upgrade kit from BBTS.

That looks fantastic Raining. The one thing that bugs me is the lack of color detail on some of the bots. Like, the detail is in the figure but you can't see it since it's all painted one color. I am hoping Reprolabels comes to the rescue but your painting looks nicer than a label ever would.

Thanks guys. I am also going to paint the hands on each figure. The hands on the bots and wheels on the alt modes would be enough to make this look like a completely different figure.

I pre ordered the PE Upgrade set (new elbows for Long Haul, Scrapper, Hook, Mixmaster, G1 Guns), so I'll have Devastator for about a month or so before the the upgrade set (it's cheaper then the Takara option)

Yep me too. I think Dr. Wu is selling them separate but it is likely to be very expensive.

I was thinking of buying the PE kit and selling the stuff I don't want.
