I miss the days when Days Light's Savings Time was before Halloween and not after.

Bleh, I know. I miss not having to deal with Daylight Savings Time. :/ Well, at least now my PS3 clock will be accurate; I kept forgetting to change it after the last DST. :lol

Thankfully most electronics are programmed to do this automatically, or you can choose the setting to do so.... but frankly, for my area, I wish they'd just leave it DST, now it will be dark at 4:00.... our area should be in the Eastern Time zone anyway... lots of cities WEST of Nashville are on ET and we're on Central time, really stupid, just draw a straight line and redo the zones...... the railroads got it wrong anyway. :lol

The only way Daylight Savings Time ever affected me was that it changed the time cable tv shows came on. :lol  Like a show that would normally come on at 8pm (like WWE Monday Night Raw) would come on at 9pm for us. It was annoying but I don't watch tv anymore so that's all settled I guess. :lol

Goddammit, apparently I can't set the clock in my brain back. Woke up an hour early.

I noticed the DST corections never work on this site. I always have to manually change my timezone to something that matches.

I remember that from living in Germany, we were always a week ahead of the US. Kinda confusing for the work folks for that first week... duh just add another hour to the time difference. :lol

there are countries in the world that don't do this.

How does that work? I'm confused.

Yeah, there are out there. I don't know all of them obviously. Here's a Wikipedia page about it.

But I never lived in a country that doesn't do DST. My home province of Saskatchewan doesn't do DST though.

It simply works by never changing your clock and just having to remember that your shows are now airing at different times because all the TV stations are in places that do DST.

If somebody a bit more worldly than I am would like to chime in, go ahead. I only know how it works from the perspective of a young person living there.
