This just makes Hasbro look like idiots

Like why couldn't they have done it this way? Literally fixes the two major problems both modes have.

Budget restriction, but you wouldn't care anyway. Idiots also have margin to follow.

So for the price of this, and the relatively poor MPM OP, why not just get one of the other versions of BB OP and have something superior all around?

This is good but nothing to fix the terrible back end of the truck.

Seems HasTak penny pinchers are extremely aggressive and only see the short-term gains.

Could be the scale and brand loyalty, there are people that wanted an official MP-scale Prime and won't even look at non-official products, even then all other versions are voyager or oversized, but it is just a matter of time for a KO of this one to show up, and most probably will be painted and with this kit or a similar one already integrated.

The real problem is the back end of the truck, it looks like complete ass. May as well buy a better figure.

I hope they do the accurate earth mode stripe.

Possible leg upgrade kit in the future? Also, it's just my personal pet peeves, but I hate that sun visor on the truck mode. No real-life truck that has split in the middle. Should have made it a hinge so it can be joined together. So I hope they make a window upgrade kit.

But then it's just gonna be a brand new figure. I hope there's gonna be an improved KO.

The bot mode has improved drastically with this upgrade...The truck mode while improved, still needs a shit ton of work to look right...I mean...jesus christ...its complete shit...That cartoony looking cab...the weird bed of the truck..the small wheels...nothing looks right..not to mention its completely movie inaccurate..What a disasterpiece (rip Joey btw)

I very much doubt whatever these new arms are doing would have raised the original figure's budget by that much. I think they just genuinely didn't think of it.

This seems like an excessive amount of work to fix a toy that would only serve people desperate to not "betray" HasTak by buying a superior third-party offering.

Honestly, with the number of fixes needed, we might as well buy a brand new figure.

The Lemon Tree OS KO would be amazing. Make it MP scale, and add a couple of extra joints and minor tweaks and that figure would be godly. Lemon Prime also has cat ears in truck mode, but the truck bed looks really good.

The MP Ironhide/Ravage hip skirt Shadow Fisher kit already did that more than anything else ever could.

    But this does come close.

Excellent; now they just need to fix the head, legs, back of the truck, lack of paint...

I think we'd be looking at a "ship of Theseus"-type problem here... is it still the same figure if every part has been replaced? :lol

If you build a new figure using all of the old parts does it count as a new figure or the old figure?

The budget ceiling for the MPM series significantly lower compared to "mainline" MPs because they're being targeted for release at North American retail.

That's weird because they absolutely nailed the engineering with older mpm, Albeit with less paint detail.
Their Jazz is an absolute marvel of engineering. Even with MPM-10 it's bot mode is highly accurate to the movie with an understandable compromised for plane mode. And then MPM-11 happens and the quality suddenly dropped, heavy backpack and visible head on the car mode. And now this.
    What happen to Hasbro man?

I am pretty sure they are being targeted at China more than anything. The movies are huge there. Possibly one of the reasons the movie MPs are still manufactured in China and the MPMs are getting announced from Hasbro China.

That's probably a huge driving factor, yes. But the bottleneck is still with the Western retail side of things, ultimately.

I personally found MP-11 to be great, in-hand. They put a lot of work into having things fold up roughly where they should be. The backpack just ended up a bit big because to do things even more accurately would've required super fragile, paper-thin panels. The toys have to deal with real-life physics in ways that the on-screen characters didn't.

Doesn't change the fact that it's generally apparent that the toys don't quite have "all the stops pulled out" compared to G1 MPs, even if it's just paint budget that suffers.
