    Pretty epic issue.

The Titan army arrives on Cybertron. And Starscream finally acts like a leader. Metroplex makes his first appearance in robot in awhile. And it looks like the mystery of Carcer is going to come back to light here as well.
Elita One refuses to come to Cybertron to give support.

An epic start to what's going to be an epic arc. :)

    Holy shit, that was epic.

Love that we're picking back up the Carcerian colony. We know they're hiding something...

    Also, Razorbeast!

This was a great issue. My only compliant is it felt too short, but that was probably because I was enjoying it. Starscream as leader was good to see.

That was great. Scott is on fire at the moment. A tight action comic with well-developed characters and a bit of mystery.

So, some Prime guesses for the Titans based on this:
    Navitas: Alchemist (studying Energy)
    Devisiun: Amalgamous
    Carcer: Megatronus

Elita-One probably has good reason not to send in Carcer above and beyond any secrets she may have. Looking at the art, Carcer, in ship form, is a lot bigger than the Dead Titans. I wouldn't be surprised if the Carcereans managed to mine out some thing in order to increase the space and materials they have available. If Carcer transformed, then everything they added would be shredded, destroyed, and/or pushed out into deep space. It'd ruin their way of life. Furthermore, they've proven they can exist without Cybertron, admittingly with some grim recycling. In addition, I don't think any of them, Elita especially, likes Starscream. He lies, they hate liars.

It's also possible that Carcer can't transform because he's dead. They mentioned a core breach back in the Windblade comics, so that could've been part of a larger problem that killed Carcer. This, of course, would be disproved if Windblade has talked to Carcer.

Remember that Metroplex originally identified Carcer as a different Titan named Tempo. Elita claimed they changed the name but Windblade revealed that Carcer was a different Titan altogether. It is most likely that the truth behind that mystery will somehow be revealed if she has Carcer transform.

Loved Starscream in this. I genuinely enjoyed seeing him being a competent, committed and inspiring leader. This may redeem the damp squib that has been the Titans Return comics.

Given the fact that this is going to be proper arc length and has Titan's actually returning, I certainly think so.

Easy. They killed Tempo and took his parts.

Because they needed the parts. If they've been space-borne for most of their existence, then they don't have access to a lot of parts. Tempo was a ship of philosophers - easy pickings. Imagine Megatron fighting Rung for energon.

Thought this was decent. Serviceable characterization but aside from that it wasn't really impressive and felt like a very fast read.

    Art was good though.

Alternatively, Carcer was crippled, and they attacked/betrayed Tempo for parts.

Both ships got damaged, and the repairs were flawed, thus if they transform, it'll tear the ship apart and just leave scattered, broken Titan bits, instead of a melded Titan.

Or theory 2: Carcer lost it's cog and they attacked Tempo for the parts. As a final effort to spite Elita and her crew, the settlers of Tempo destroyed their Titan's cog.

So it's not a matter of she won't transform Carcer/Tempo, it's she can't do it.

I'm thinking I liked this issue. So far Scott seems to be hitting well with this new Windblade comic. My complaint which is not on her writing but the story as a whole which is why haven't the colonies relocated back to cybertron? Or why is everyone living in slums around Metroplex? The planet is huge! We have been led to believe the race of transformers are excellent builders and there seems to be plenty of space and resources that are not iacon. Lastly why in the last couple of " events" is it always undead titans? I mean really? One or more can't be alive?

Cybertron is pretty much still ruined, isn't it? Wild, primordial, dangerous?

I'm not sure "ruined" is the right term--the planet's actually alive again, even if in a prehistoric state, as opposed to the dead wasteland that it was before.

But anyway, there's the question of whether or not they even have the population numbers to fill a whole bunch of cities. There are only somewhere over 10,000 Cybertronians left, and I'm not sure the colonists' numbers add all that much more.
