I’m guess one cog changers are the new one step changers, prime changers are the equivalent of the ROTB Battle changers, and mega changers are like the titan changers? I’m wondering if the battling packs will still have the figures be able to transform? Just reminds me of those boxing robot toys based on the description

These will look great next to all the rise of the beat gimmick toys sitting on clearance at Walmarts across north america.

One gimmick toy line? Just one?

I'm tired of gimmicks. Let's do more headmasters! Kids like small toys piloting other toys!

Hopefully the new stuff works out for Hasbro, because I seldom see kids at the TF section.

Honestly I think I might be fine with them not doing non-Studio-but-mainline deluxe/voyagers in a way and just saving the higher-end versions of the characters for Studio Series. It's not like most of the ROTB mainline deluxes even showed up in a lot of areas.

Hmmmm, new upcoming gimmick-laden line with new size/gimmick class terminology. Feels like 2001 again. And boy was Armada a huge disappointment for me.

    Hopefully One will be better.

Why can’t they just make legends class toys again? I LOVED those as a kid… They appeal to both younger kids and collectors too because they’re affordable, really fun, and you can build an entire cast. DotM and Prime had it made between Legion and Commander classes on the shelf, they should bring those back!!

Titans Return was my favorite modern Transformers toyline, hands down.

I'd be all for doing the same thing again, but with Powermasters this time.

I'm indifferent to Powermasters, and I hated Headmasters (ruins an otherwise perfectly good Transformers), but I would love masters-sized humans. Like the Spike that comes with the MP10V trailer. Like 3-5 for $10 theme packs (84 - Spike, Sparkplug, Carly, 85 - Chip, Raul, Archieval, Armada - idiot kids, etc). Chug-sized humans have been an obvious overlook by Hasbro Marketing for decades.

Modern gimmick lines wish they were as cool as Armada.

Back in the day they actually built characters around gimmicks. Sure the gimmicks would often compromise the figures in a lot of ways, but dangit, Armada Starscream's flip-up shoulder rockets and transforming wing sword were his gimmicks for his toy designed specifically for him.

Nowadays they just take a core group of characters and slap random gimmicks on them over and over.

Why/How would it be any more interesting? The designs? Because aside from that, we shouldn't expect anything more. We've had simplified gimmick toys for a good long while now and they've remained very much targetted for that singular younger crowd.

Makes sense, it's the adults who buy toys for their (or other people's) kids.
