Confirmed by Brian Flynn in a reply on Super7's Instagram reveal that the Lion-O/Panthro reissues are being made at a different factory and do not have the pin-less joints.

For me anyway, just need a Kit and Kat plus Snarf and Rataro, and I'm pretty good with this line.

I couldn’t be happier with Bengali but Vultureman is my favorite mutant. And he looks amazing.

Cat’s Lair is going to be a lot. I mean f*ck I’ll support it but I have no idea what I’ll do with it.

So, "guns" are okay.... for bad guys other than Joker"? WB confuses me. Mafex Hush came with guns, too. Maybe the delay had nothing to do with guns. Maybe one of Bengali's accessories looked like a piece of poop (Kitty Biscuit?). ::shrug::

The Red Lion-O means we're going to eventually get a pinless regular Lion-O. Pinless Panthro probably isn't far behind. If we start seeing generic mutants in the line, pinless Jackalman will happen, too.

Cat's Lair: I would have to buy it, but the thought makes me sick. At what point do we OD on extravagant toys?

Hammerhand really emphasizes how different the OG toys were from the cartoon model.
The cartoon model is really tame and smooth compared to the OG figure's over-the-top proportions and crazy expression.

Cats lair will def be like $800-$1000. I’ll buy one too, but holy crap that’s my last big ticket item. Unless they do a big hoth base or ewok village with haslab

Well there's two different Hammerhand looks in the cartoon. One in the first few episodes, and then the second when he appears in Thundercats Ho! the Movie.

Weirdly they're so different even his hammer arm is on a different side.

Even more weird, he actually drowned in his first appearance (his ghost posesses a Panthro clone at one point) and they don't even try and address why he's alive and well again for no reason, or why his robot arm has swapped sides.

The Super7 toy is clearly more based on his latter look, which took more inspiration from the Toyline. They seem to have given him his black diaper from the toy though so I'm suprised they didn't give him an alternate more toy styled arm too. Aside from that he's a good compromise in regards to toon/toy inspiration imo.

I wonder if they will "fix" the diaper look and just make the pants completely yellow.

As a kid I assumed their dead bodies were found by mumra and cobbled back together into androids. Seemed like a possible answer

Is anyone else kinda miffed that all of the ultimates Thundercats reuse a lot of old He-Man parts while all of the others characters from the show have new, more show accurate sculpts? Look at how much better the mutants are, sculpt wise, compared to the main Thundercats. Makes me wish Super7 would resculpt all of the Thundercats and rerelease them. I know it can’t happen now and I know why it worked out how it did but it’s just a shame.

Honestly I keep praying you all support this line enough that they release a “club Grayskull” style sub-line with retooling for slavish cartoon accuracy (see:monkian’s face)

I know what you mean, but I'm just glad they've moved past slavishly using that MOTU style body on everything they make. I'm glad they're on to better stuff. I have a feeling one day they'll go back and do that for a couple of the bigger characters.

I think someone posted here that Brian recently shared that parts reuse is gone. It doesn’t save any money and every sculpt is a whole new thing. I am not annoyed by it. They’ll probably go back and do new versions at some point and match it up with a “reason” like Thundercats Ho! Lion-O. It never bothers me because supporting the first figures got the line this far...and I already had 2 copies of the Mattel releases. So I already have 4 f’cking Lion-Os etc. and I’ll still take a new version.

It’s easy to forgot S7 was making retro Kenner figures from the 7-80’s when they took on MOTU. They’ve come a long way.

Honestly it looks like it was created just for some cool shots. It's definitely not assets for a play set.

A functional Cat's Lair would have to be bigger than Snake mountain, the paw held the Thundertank, Cat's Lair is improbable on that alone or at least not sold for under $1500, when I said $1000 I forgot to take in the scale of the Thundertank

I don’t think it’s feasible on any level. Unless they ditch the paw being a bay for the tank.
