Well, one things for sure, after seeing this, I guess I can't shit all over Transformers:Animated anymore. Transformers:Animated, RID & Cyberverse all look like baby shit but nowhere near as bad as this.
Sorry to Necropost this thread but what's the situation with this cartoon? Has it officially been canceled?
I am so fucking DONE with cartoon networks garbage reboots. All of them just scream soulless, effortless, unoriginal cash grabs cashing in on teen titans go success. I Hope this show flops. And god the art style looks so greasy, generic and hideous. Transformers animated had shitty animation but I eventually got use to it but man this makes me want to barf my insides out.
Yeah looks like they are using teen titans go to stealth launch roar and may even sneak the first episode to air right after the episode airs! Teen Titans GO! to Tackle ThunderCats Roar Controversy
Maybe it’s just me but that sounds lame. Not because it’s poking fun at raging fanboys, but because they’re airing their dirty laundry & venting to a bunch of kids who watch their show. Just seems unprofessional somehow.
This condescending attitude media conglomerates have is only going to bite them back. It's funny how deeply hurt corporate mooks act when the people don't bend for the corporate. Anyway, this cartoon has zero chances of being successful after all of this.
It's a shame that great franchises like TMNT and Thundercats have now been reduced to this less than mediocre diaper fire.
They said the same thing about teen titans go and it's airing 90 times a day plus one of the biggest shows on Netflix is bugs that let gas and flies in the air with gas and a rat yeti thing that sets fire to peoples kitchens after stealing their food so kids will watch crap. This could be a hit with kids. That's the scary thing.
So they are going to sneak this in under the table, so to speak. LOL. They probably already paid whatever team and studio made it, and now are trying to make at least a small benefit from it. Reminds me of when the hungarian national TV ordered some documentaries, was careless enough to pay for it in advance, and got this gem instead from one of the studios - Hacktion, aka what if that "double hacking" scene from that one terrible show got made into a full on show by writers who don't know what computers are or what the police does, and who hired some of the worst actors ever. The TV channel could do nothing after this but do a minimal promotion and then throws this thing on the air at the latest slot possible hoping to at least recoup some of the losses via advertising. Unfortunately they hired the team for 2 seasons, as well... But hilariously almost all the actors left so they had to recast it completely. It's ridiculous when people who quickly reveal from their posts have never even seen the 2012, let alone the 2003 or 1987 Turtles, are suddenly hailing Rise as the best TMNT show ever. The thing had a "gotcha" moment at the end, making it seem like they are actually gonna be professional ninjas, but then it went back straight to goofy stuff same as how TTG did it during the island story arc.
It's mostly the animation that's being praised about the show, and to be honest, I like it as well. It's a shame the humor, story, and characterizations are so bad, though. A complete waste.
Right now pretty much none of the franchises that I love have been putting out anything that I'm interested in over the last couple of years. I have no interest in Transformers Cyberverse, Rise of the TMNT, or Star Wars Resistance. And I don't even plan on giving Thundercats Go! a chance. I only watch Netflix's She-Ra cause I'm curious to see what they do with the franchise. Netflix and Kevin Smith's He-Man is about the only thing I'm really looking forward to.
Crap it's not dead like some of us hoped "ThunderCats Roar": Cartoon Network "Confirms" 2020 Premiere [VIDEO]
