Cartoon network is a vast waste land devoid of any redeeming value. except just maybe toonami but as i do not get CN right now i have no clue even for that.

yes, typical cartoon network, lol they just do not seem to like action cartoons. and i have to blame them. they PUT these things on a saturday morning. instead of idk, maybe after school? maybe on a friday night? you know, when kids are actually watching cartoons.

saturday morning cartoons aren't really a thing people do anymore. they probably could of found a better time slot for it. or tried a bit harder. but of course, they didn't. just like thundercats, just like every transformer's series they've played. they did not even try. if they wanted it to be successful. it should of been on right before, or maybe even during, Toonami.

i wouldn't go that far, but more so, not exactly the highlight of animation history. lol

The weird thing is, I remember CN being very good for new cartoons? At some point anyway?

They did Dexters Lab, Cow and Chicken, Real Adventures of Johnny Quest, Samurai Jack, Star Wars Clone Wars (cel) and a load of other CN exclusive cartoons, and they aired cartoons which had disappeared from normal terrestrial TV (like SWAT Cats).

    What happened to them?

then they stopped giving action cartoons a chance.

because they realized the cheaper stuff, the aka "comedy" was cheaper to produce.

    and apparently more popular.

I too remember the days of Cartoon Network being awesome. I visited a friends house to watch DBZ and yearned to see Reboot.

I would like to see live-action Johnny Bravo. Or Dexter's lab.

Like Mumm-Ra, I'm raising this thread from the dead just to say I recently watched this and I love it. I watched the first few episodes when it originally aired but lost track of the show.

The art direction and story really stands out to me. It can appeal to children and older audiences alike. The voice actors put on enjoyable performances.

It's a shame that it was canceled after one season.

For a second I thought this was Roar and was gonna be snarky, but then realized which cartoon you were talking about.

It was cancelled because the toys (Which often had poor quality weren't selling) Often the eyes weren't even aligned

They released multiple figures at multiple scales. Everyone wanted the 6 inch ones but they were hard to find and they over saturated the market with 3 to 4 inch figures. To add to it they also had a line of classic 80's figures. It was too many figures in too short of time with mediocre quality paint apps. Half the line was on clearance in 6 months just so stores could have more space. Also the show went on hiatus for months after 6 episodes.

This is a prime example of why you shouldn't license anything to BoA.

It's too bad that the cartoon seemed to be the only division of the Thundercats 2011 production that hit it out of the ballpark. I recall seeing the toys and being underwhelmed. I was never a fan of Thundercats, simply because the toys were scarce where I grew up and I could never watch the cartoon consistently due to the cable stations airing the show at random times, never the same time slot twice. I can't imagine the disappointment of being a big fan of Thundercats and seeing those toys roll out.

Yea, I never picked up the Thundercats toys. Today, I am not a huge fan of the show. But, the one aspect I like, is the same aspect I liked most about the show in 2011 when it aired, and that was the twins. I thought they were great. I tried picking up the two figures, but I never found any at stores that didn't come pre-cracked. Quality was apparently shit.
