I am late to the Headmaster Thrilling 30 Nightbeat party. However, I come with something new. I wanted to convert T30 Nightbeat into a Headmaster, but I wanted to do it and make it super functional. What I mean is, I wanted him to have a permanent Headmaster feature; recycle the Beelzeboss head as a Headmaster companion; and successfully created storage for the Muzzle (LG28 Nightbeat) in vehicle mode. Toys used: Thrilling 30 Deluxe Nightbeat Titans Return Titan Master Nightbeat with Jet/Drill Tank Takara Tomy Legends LG28 Headmaster Nightbeat Beelzeboss Untraceable Pieces Materials: hobby knife, super glue, epoxy putty, Dremel kit, sandpaper, hot water Procedure From this image you can see that my T30 Nightbeat was already updated with the Beelzeboss upgrade set. The first thing I did for the next mod was removing the Titan Master port and foot pegs from the TR jet/drill tank. With that out of the way, I moved onto the Beelzeboss head. Foot pegs. Titan Master port on TR Nightbeat's head. I removed the Beelzeboss head and stripped it of the rear of the head with a hobby knife. Then, I began sanding the face of the Titan Master all the way down before the screw tip. Once that was done, I dremeled out the rear of the Beelzeboss head as best as I could. Once, the two sides seemed compatible, I glued the rear part of the TR face onto the back of the Beelzeboss head. This makes it possible to screw the face on rather than simply glue it permanently in case I want to change the faceplate in the future. Turning our attention to the body, I used the hobby knife to transform the circular cavity into a squared one to better accommodate the TR port. The port was also sanded down to reduce the height and to make the sides more rough to allow the glue to bite it better. Once done, I glued the TR port to the squared cavity, rendering it ready for Headmastering. The foot pegs took a bit longer to measure and figure out. Quoting the good Brad Turner from MASK, there’s nothing to it but to do it. So I molded a very small portion of epoxy putty to ‘glue’ the foot pegs onto the putty and to prop it in place; plastered it onto the base of the front of the car; positioned the foot pegs in place; let it set and viola: successful Headmaster storage! He’s just like any Titan Master toy now! The only difference is that Muzzle won’t be able to sit inside the car like his G1 predecessor. I'm aware that he can lie down in front of the windshield but... Seriously? I rather him be a part of the car without being seen than having that! Each part of this project strove to maintain functionality on every part as well as recycle parts that would go unused. I accomplished every part planned. The only problem is that the Beelzeboss headmaster looks a little off due to how long the head is. Also, it's not possible to store that head in vehicle mode however it's not really necessary. Despite that, this has been an awesome update to a very subpar figure. Thanks for reading. Here are some images of the completed project.
Man that makes me want to get back into my custom of that mold. I just don't have time at this point. I was in the middle of the shoulder & door mods, but I always wanted to make him a headmaster too
