Man is it really so difficult for Bandai to give us a new head sculpt? Unless they’re working out the QC issues to make some of the armor parts interchangeable so you could display it between the 00 and 00’/Kai, the MB Eva lines is probably done...
For me, the ThreeZero is the best version and value available right now. If Bandai decides not to continue the MB versions, I'm fine with it.
Found a review for Shin Getter. Originally I wasn't feeling him since I like my robots more chunky, but they did something right with the proportions, they're growing on me. Now if I were to pick him up, would I go silver or white...
yeah im with you there. On one hand the metallic red looks really good but the metallic white/silver is very off putting to me. Might end up ultimately going with 'Anime Colors' but we'll see...
Missed these posts. That makes three of us. I would still prefer if it was a little less lanky but the more I see it, the more it grows on me. I'm a the point where, if there was a "clean" anime color version, I think I'd preorder. Huh, who am I kidding? I'll probably end up preordering the actual weathered anime version in a few weeks, just wait for it to grow on me a little more. On a side note, I finally received Eva 02 today. I don't know why it took so long for some retailers to get theirs but the wait was worth it. Just like Eva 01, it's an outstanding figure. I can't wait to complete the trio with the 00 later this year. I can't believe how fast ThreeZero became one of my favorite brands.
I'm not a fan of the proportions or weathering but at that price nothing can touch it. I don't know how 3A does it.
Unit 02 is here and I would say is an even better bang for your buck than unit 01 with the extra accessories. Definitely makes for a good reason to pick up the trio. Same greatness as unit 01 here and QC is still top-notch. I'm not sure what material and thickness they are making the wrist joints out of, but they need to carry that engineering over to their 1/6 figures to prevent breakages. I find it interesting threezero includes a very functional stand for all the robot dou, but not their 1/6 figures.
Looks like the base/hangar thing that the metal builds came with but 3Z omitted. Possibly more weapons also. I may pick this up depending on the price.

The preorder for the Eva accessory pack opens on Friday on threezero's site. They revealed two more pics showing the gatling gun and the Cassius spear. I guess the positron rifle will be included too.
