I actually kind of like how thick he looks. I didn't notice until the Prime 1 statues were shown, that his model is actually super skinny and thin. Like he has a big bulky chest and then he skipped both arms and legs day.

The thickness they added to him fills him out nicely overall. I'm also guessing they had to add some thickness so that his limbs don't crumble or snap when being super articulated.

Only thing I'm bummed about with this release is the lack of hand hooks. If he came with those, this would have been a perfect complete package.

This is so bought. However, I'm still not sure about the proportions and it's definitely missing paint on some smaller bits (like the shins and the abdomen headlights) as well as the chrome. Also, I hope those chest doors are articulated because they are angled wrong and it takes away from that "V" shape he's supposed to have. I do love the way his abdomen bits are sitting though.

While, I’ll pay it without question, the $229 price tag is a bit of a bummer tbh. Especially since it’ll be that x3.

I want to get that one too, but for different reasons. The real question is whether or not I’ll ever be able to get that Flame Toys IDW one haha.

That’s almost certainly what it is. Which kinda makes me wish they had just done a separate jetpower Prime figure and not compromise the individual figures, but I can also see the appeal of the combination feature.

He does have the abdomen headlights, they’re just not painted. Doesn’t look like they light up either. Hopefully the chest pieces are moveable like the premium scale one

It's accurate tbh, Prime had very long legs in the film.

Yeah Prime has long legs always. At least Peter Cullen Primes.

I dig it but it is a bit thick. Hopefully in hand the fun will override the in accuracies. I didn't get any DLX yet because I knew I was gonna wait til Bayverse or possibly something current in the future movie franchise.

Movie Prime is definitely the lankiest of the Optimus designs. While I still like the design I do agree with others that I like the thickness they've given him with this figure.

Up for order on BBTS for $230: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen DLX Scale Collectible Series Optimus Prime

Gonna wait for it to go up on Threezero later tonight so that I can just buy it from them directly.

That articulation is hard to beat. Main thing that I love about these DLX figures. You can tell that was the main reason for the added thickness. To give us that crazy articulation goodness. Well worth it!

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hasbro and threezero are thrilled to present you Optimus Prime from the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen film as the next figure in the Transformers DLX Collectible Figure Series!

At 11.20 inches (28.40 cm) tall, the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen DLX Optimus Prime collectible figure features approximately 57 points of articulation, a die-cast metal frame, and LED illuminated eyes.

With its unique die-cast metal frame design, DLX not only provides an advanced range of articulation, but also greatly enhances the weight and durability. Together with the detailed and weathered paint application of threezero, a remarkable resemblance is achieved in matching the characters as seen in the original media.

    Product Features
    • 11.20 inches (28.40cm)
    • Made of plastic and die-cast metal
    • 57 Points of articulation
    • Features LED light-up eyes
    • Non-transforming figure
    • From the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie
    Box Contents
    • Optimus Prime figure
    • 2 Ion blasters
    • 2 Swords
    • Interchangable battle mask face plate
    • 4 Pairs of hands

Here I was thinking this was gonna be under $200 like the other DLX 3Zero stuff.

So much for making a line meant for affordability.

But whatever, the need to feel the empty void in my soul is more vocal than my complaints and I just put it on pre-order :lol :cry

DLX Optimus from the Bumblebee movie was $210. This comes with an extra gun + 2 swords. Also has way more parts to it compared to the simpler design of the Bee version. A $20 increase is perfectly reasonable.

That's not a crazy increase all things considered. I'm guessing Jetfire will be in the $250-$300 range due to his sheer size alone.

Proportions look inspired by concept art, I love it. I personally hope his articulation is even better than BB Primes was, especially the ankle tilts. I really want this guy to do the "Prime squat".

One thing I always appreciate about these high quality movie toys is they keep showing me new details on the movie models that I’d never noticed before. Like, who knew Prime had a big blue panel attached to one of his guns? That’s probably the gun that transforms out of his back in the movie, now I have to go rewatch that scene and look for it.

man, if they made a g1 accurate dlx prime, i’d get all 3 so i can display them in a lineup to show his evolution. and i don’t mean the premium stylized prime they did, i mean an accurate g1 prime

I ordered one. It is more expensive than my expectation, especially taking into account of shipping.
