I might be sold on Megatron. That thing looks epic. If the show is any good it might seal-the-deal for me.

 

Ok, I have to admit this does a much better job at being its own thing than the Optimus one. The paintjob here does a better job of making this feel like an actual robot rather than a $30 figure.

 

I too will admit Megs looks good there—mostly due to the absence of obvious toy kibble in the original design. Those fake rollers on the back of his leg are going to look real silly with how nice the rest looks though.

I'm glad his is going to be a big boy / MP scale. That wasn't clear to me initially. You can never get enough premium Megatrons.

This guy kind of makes me wish there prime had a base of high gloss metallic for its paintjob. Like i real car(high gloss) or a traditional robot(metallic). I dont own any, but those hottoys ironman figures look great in metallic red paint

 

To celebrate the series coming out this week and hype for this Megatron I risked life and limb and decided to enter my local Wal-Mart. Found this guy! Last one the shelf. Box is trashed but that’s ok. Picked up a few essentials as well. I couldn’t (in good conscience) enter that place just to get a toy lol.

Just pre-ordered my Prime with them, wonder when the Megatron will go up.

 

I wouldn’t be surprised if his preorder goes live closer to the end of the year to space them out a bit but I’m all for them releasing him closer to prime.

 

I could see that, give it a bit, maybe let people enjoy Soundwave first? But I'd like to get them relatively close together, especially if that means more in the line (would love an Elita-1 in this scale) before they move on to Earthrise.

 

Think I'm going to pick up that Megatron and use for the Bumblebee Movie figures. They didn't show Megs in the movie so they won't make one and this looks like it will fit just fine.

 

I’m getting two of each, but Megs is definitely the standout here. I hope the cannon lights up, but I doubt it. Pre-order is the 7th on ThreeZero’s site.

 

Light up eyes and body is nice even if the cannon doesn't light up.

 

It\'s the most beautiful version of the best G1-intent Megatron they ever made.

 

Looks gorgeous.

 

They should give him electronics so you can push a button and he can say "end this war... end this war... end this war..." over and over like he does in the show.

 

Megatron looks way better than the source material.
