So numerous Galeria Kaufhof department stores in Germany currently have an RID display.

This one can currently be found in my home town of Duisburg:

Take a closer look at Three-Step Changer Bumblebee:

What the hell. It's just three steps, and they managed to screw it up. Unbelievable.

Did they use the in-packaging stock photo of the "Energon Boost" redeco in European packaging as a reference or what?

Somethings actually gone wrong there. The arms and head should be popped out when the waist is turned, and also in car mode there shouldn't be that much of a gap at the feet...

So in defence of the display folk the toys themselves might be broken?

    Maybe?

    Edit
I just checked my BB, the arms and head pop out at the last waist compression, which they haven't done. If you look carefully the waist isn't pushed all the way in. Same with the car mode, the legs aren't pushed all the way in so the feet aren't fully in place.

So yeah... 3 steps are too complicated for 'dults.

Can I cry a little bit now? Actually, I'm thinking more along the lines of they just don't care. Most retail workers just have an "Eh, fuck it." mentality, which comes from working with obnoxious customers.

Yep. They most likely hardly gave a shit if it was transformed properly. It's their job and they work at retail. (I work at retail too, though I care.)

Same here. I've actually talked with a fellow worker, and he laments the fact that I seem to be the only other worker who cares about what we're selling.

That's hilarious, Nevermore! :lol  But as others have said above... also kind of sad.

Can I blame management? I mean, if your wages are low, you tend to attract the lowest life forms (typically). Maybe if they offered some sales incentives/company stock and/or offered better training? I just see management as caring even less than the employees...

well, the reasoning behind 3-steps existing is too complicated for most adults here, so...

I find it is usually due to poor management, low pay and thus low quality staff/work output.

And the really sad thing? They're packed in robot mode, so whoever did this doesn't categorise at 'not caring' but more along the lines of 'sabotage'.

You want my opinion? My real opinion? People can't be this stupid. It's probably a similar mentality that many collectors exhibit, that 3 Step and One Step toys are 'beneath them' and because it's something that's not aimed at them (and they feel they'll never buy) they hate it. Thus we get stuff happening like this.

I know he was listed at Smyths' website (but the listing is gone now), but nobody ever reported him... then again, a lot of UKers simply report stuff exclusively to the UK sightings thread and don't seem to give a shit about getting it on the TFW2005 front page as news. Oh well.

It was £14.99 for a while there, but the day after I bought it (thanks to you, eternally grateful btw) it's back at £23.

Bloody wonderful figure, incredible really. My daughter is in love with it too.

    All the best

£23 is a bit steep, but £15 (what we paid!) is much more palatable. Glad you and yours are enjoying it! My youngest keeps handing me 3 Step Bisk and then claiming the One Step for herself...
